Officials tell the Associated Press that the new US Embassy in Jerusalem will open much earlier than some had predicted. They're working to make the move by May 2018 in celebration of Israel's 70th anniversary.

Makes sense; the physical plant of embassy operations has been in Tel Aviv for decades.
But THE embassy will now be in Jerusalem. Mazel tov!
Even more towelheads will explode when Israel issues its new half shekel coin with DJT’s mug on it!
Kind of, they're going to move the Ambassador and minimal staff to the Consulate in Jerusalem. What you say, we have a diplomatic outpost in Jerusalem? All through these years of whining and screaming. Of course we do. It was our Embassy from the mid 19th century till 1947. Downgraded to a Consulate when Israel became a nation, to serve the Arabs in Judea and Samaria. Throughout this long lasting controversy about an Embassy in Jerusalem to deal with Israel we've had a Consulate, the only one on earth that reports directly to State not the local Embassy, to deal with the palestinians. After they were invented, before that just the Arabs.
No, the Consulate serves the palestinians. Also Jews in Judea and Samaria. No was we could move our representation to the Palestinian Authority out of Jerusalem. Besides, I wouldn't send the Ambassador to Ramallah.

Thanks. Interesting.

Concerning the secret code (pakod yifkod), when it went out:
Gen 50
24. And Joseph said to his brothers, I die; and God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land to the land which he swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob:
25. And Joseph took an oath from the people of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you, and you shall carry up my bones from here: (mi-zeh, lit. from this)
26. So Joseph died, being a hundred and ten years old; and they embalmed him, and he was put in a coffin in Egypt:

1 Tammuz 5778 - Flag Day 2018, year 18 - is the traditional date for the passing and birth of Joseph. On that day the 'secret code' went out:
Gen 30
22. And God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her, and opened her womb:
23. And she conceived, and bore a son; and said, God has taken away my reproach:
24. And she called his name Joseph; and said, The Lord shall add to me another son:
Eze 37
1. The hand of the Lord was upon me, and carried me out in the wind of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones [1314, "United States"]:
2. And he led me around among them; and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, behold, they were very dry:
3. And he said to me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God, you know:
4. And he said to me, Prophesy over these bones, and say to them, O you dry bones, hear the word of the Lord:
5. Thus says the Lord God to these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live:
6. And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live; and you shall know that I am the Lord:
7. And I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to its bone:

15. And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
16. And you, son of man, take one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the people of Israel his companions; then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions:
17. And join them one to the other into one stick; and they shall become one in your hand:
One of the interesting things about Israel's Independence Day, is that two flags are often flown together, America's and Israel's.
A research on the Americanization of Israeli marketing and consumption found that two flags are flying over Israeli society: one is the national flag [...] and the other is the American flag [...] ... The wide public in Israel feels great attachment to America and its culture. For many Israelis it is only natural to fly the American flag alongside the Israeli (mainly on Independence Day)..."

35. And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, Lord, and let your enemies be scattered; and let them who hate you flee before you:

Two letters in the Hebrew alphabet look like forked tree branches (sticks from trees): the letter ayin (ע) and the final tzaddik (ץ). When they are placed together they become one word, etz (עץ), which IS a stick or tree.
