I live in the freak People’s Democratic State of Maryland. I’ve learned, as have many others, that to put something like a Trump sticker on your car is to invite SIGNIFICANT vandalism.
Government schools don’t like competition.

California was like that, too. I was even a little afraid to put a Marines magnet on the back of the car, but I did anyway. Happily no vandalism because of the magnet. But you never know.
Took my son to an event for kids interested in attending one of the military academies. Parked our pristine classic Jaguar sedan in the school parking lot several rows out from the signs for the event.
No one near the parking place. When we came back out, I saw that someone had obviously dented both doors on driver side. They had to have kicked their own doors into ours as the vertical dents were 9-12” long and bent in an inch wide.
No one was near the car again when we came out.
It appeared obvious to me that it was related to the event, but it is possible they just wanted to mess up a nice car.
Obviously there are @$$wipes everywhere

Like the time the son of a Milwaukee democrat slashed multiple tires on Republican vans that were taking people to the polls. Yeah, but it could’ve been a coincidence that multiple vans had flat tires.

That happened to us some years ago. Parked our brand new Triumph (still had the temporary paper license taped in the window) in a lot where there were no cars within a hundred spaces. Came back from breakfast to find a nice big dent in the driver side door. Still not a car anywhere near us.
Had to be some pr**k with a jealous streak.
Ten bucks says the perp was a member of teacher’s union.
It is as Scott related. The perp has not been found. Camera coverage of the parking area is good but when someone is kneeling between two cars it is difficult to determine much of anything. Lot was full at the time due to a number of important bills being considered.
The victim is concerned that she is well known in a small town, but that will not deter her in the future.
