Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student Colton Haab said he was approached by CNN to ask a question at Wednesday night's town hall but decided not to after the network gave him a "scripted question," quashing one he wrote himself. Haab, a member of the Junior ROTC shielded students while the school was under attack from the shooter, said he was going to ask about using veterans as armed security guards.
"CNN had originally asked me to write a speech and questions and it ended up being all scripted," Haab told WPLG-TV

In 2013, the Broward County School Board, in collusion with Eric Holder and the Obama Administration, put in place policies to prevent crimes comitted by minority students in school from being reported to the police!!!
Cruz was considered minority due to his last name. He previously brought bullets in his backpack! He comitted numerous crimes on school grounds, was caught, and never reported to police. They weren’t allowed to!

CNN would claim it’s not a script, it’s just a note card, if they don’t just flat out deny its existence.
CNN is so hard-wired in pushing agendas they ultimately end up destroying their own agenda by becoming the story. This school shooting is a prime example of this.
They could have interviewed a dozen students and left it at that. Instead they latch onto a few students pushing what CNN wants to hear and they set them up as sock puppets.
At a certain level it’s a gross exploitation of these kids; in this case the exploration is being done by both CNN and the parents of these kids, who in a huge coincidence work for CNN and the FBI (which is pretty much the same thing).
So CNN is now calling this JROTC student, who helped shield other students from the shooter, a liar. This is CNN.

Well, one of them is a liar. It’s not hard to figure out which one.
I volunteer for our local CERT Team and every couple years we assist with Mass Causalty drills. We recruit friends and family to participate as victims. Children and teens are particularly desired so as to make the “scene”as realistic as possible.
We have a person who does Stage plays for moulage. That’s the art of simulating serious injuries with make up for the purpose of medical training. She’s very skilled and the “injuries” are very realistic. It’s good practice for her and everyone has a lot of fun getting all “wounded”.
Believe me when I say that nothing says “fun” for a bunch of 12-15 year olds quite like simulated impalements. A few of them had a wonderful time hanging out the widows of my truck on the way home with bits of plastic sticking out of their bodies. You can imagine the looks we got.
The firefighters and paramedics get some high quality training, the volunteers have some fun, so everyone wins.
But we have NEVER I repeat NEVER paid anyone who volunteered $1,000.00. Ever. We do spring for pizza, hot dogs, pop, and coffee but that’s it. We had over 20 last time around and my town doesn’t have anything close to $20,000 laying around.
I know this because I personally wrote the scenario and was an Evaluator. Hell, our Fire Chief had to practically beg for a couple hundred bucks to pay for the chow.
So I’d love to know where the money to pay these “crisis actors” came from.

I’ve participated in this sort of enactment. The function of them is to train first responders and doctors in triage. My role was to have a heart attack after the mass casualty event (bus accident), and the expectation was I’d get the same level of care as those with physical injuries. In the mock event, I died.
I understand the NRA had a person at this CNN Townhall.
Since CNN has such low viewership, why did NRA even bother to appear?

What gets me is that CNN did not say they will even investigate what happened in Colby’s case, rather they concluded he is just a liar because they have a policy about those kinds of things.
Wonder if the book 1984 is on that high school’s reading list. I doubt it.
This guy really didn’t play his hand very well. He should have taken the scripted question, and then when it was his turn, ask his question anyway.
Agree, but this is a kid. In fact, I think most adults would be easily manipulated into doing the bidding of CNN in the moment.
(I think about how many times in my life I’ve later thought that I should have said/done something different. I expect most people have similar memories. It’s easy to think of the perfect comeback, the perfect action the next day.)
