Another Mass Shooting, Another Psychiatric Drug27 Drug Warnings and 1,531 Cases of Drug-Induced Homicidal Ideation Back Need for Federal Investigation:
Twenty-seven drug regulatory agency warnings cite psychiatric drug side effects of mania, psychosis, violence and homicidal ideation;
1,531 cases of psychiatric drug induced homicide/homicidal ideation have been reported to the US FDA;
65 high profile cases of mass shootings/murder have been committed by individuals under the influence of these drugs, yet there has never been a federal investigation into the link between seemingly senseless acts of violence and the use of mind-altering psychotropic drugs.
The fact is psychiatric drugs are documented by 27 international drug regulatory agency warnings and 16 published medical studies to cause side effects including mania, hostility, violence and even homicidal ideation.
And while not everyone taking the drug will experience these particular side effects, what the warnings prove is that a percentage of the population will.
Furthermore according to the FDAs MedWatch reporting system for drug side effects, over a 10-year period, the FDA received 1,531 cases of homicidal ideation/homicide attributed to psychiatric drugs, 40% of which were reported by medical professionals.
The FDA admits that only 1-10% of drug side effects are ever reported to MedWatch....
While there is never one simple explanation for what drives a human being to commit such unspeakable acts of senseless violence, one common denominator has surfaced in a percentage of casesprescribed psychiatric drugs which are documented to cause mania, psychosis, violence, suicide and in some cases, homicidal ideation.
It is long past time that government healthcare agencies launch an investigation....None can argue against the fact that disclosure would serve the public interest. Except those with a vested interest in keeping the public in the dark.

These pills are associated with mental ills, like aspirin is associated with headaches.
The vast majority of US guns see use for practice and sport, and that’s all. The 2A may have its fanatics, but they are not fanatics for killing. They are readiness fanatics. Now if we can only be a bit more, er, liberal about letting these readiness fanatics guard schoolyards, churches, and other such places.
Exactly,
The anti-drug crowd does not want anyone to remember that people on psychotropic drugs are not on them because they had a cold.
The drugs were prescribed because the patient had severe mental problems before they were on the meds.
And as I’m sure you know, the CCHR, the author of this article, is a Scientology front group.
Have a good day.
Why does it read like a broken record?
One of the greatest difficulties with medications for mental health is that people take their meds, feel good, so they stop taking their meds. This is especially true with bipolar and schizophrenia patients.
Thus, you must be open minded in that the meds may not be the cause. The cause is stopping the meds.
If there is underlying anger, meds will NEVER take away the anger. They can only temporarily block it. The same is true with the feeling of grief from loss or depression.
Be careful as correlation does not mean causation.
Crazy people take meds. Crazy people do crazy things. The meds may not be causing crazy people to do crazy things.
We nee guns to protect us from democrat progressives who want to take them away so they can have total tyrannical control.
That long haired blonde millennial screaming her resistance is the tyrant
Side effects have never been separated out according to what disorder the physician prescribed the medicine, as far as I’ve ever seen in the kind of monograph that’s enclosed in prescrption packages or attached to them by drugstores. But that kind of correlation could be quite important. If it isn’t fibromyalgia patients who are at significant risk here, that points a finger at latent mental health problems in mental health disorder sufferers.
It won’t be them; it’ll be military.
I to Despise SHRINKS!!!
It seems younger people have more adverse effects with AD.
Our dear shrinks are in a situation of shrinking patient contact as medicine gets more socialized, de jure or de facto. The result is frequent failure to follow up on patients given pills.
Wow. Wasn’t aware of all that. As I said in original post, my friend says that the city is becoming a dump. Homeless folks everywhere just so they can smoke pot, legally.
This road this country is on, has been rough for a while and appears to be getting rougher.
But, when Big Pharma and Big Ag figure out a way to wrest control over all of it, they’ll be buying that stuff in a convenience store.
Most mentally ill are canaries in the culture. Their emotional boundaries are more permeable than the average person and they take in more and more of the culture and react to it as they are told to do by the media.
I call them the Cultural Canaries.
The leftist media has been advocating violence for a long time through video and presentation.
As for medications being the cause of the violence, well, of course most of the people who commit mass murder have been or are on or just came off of psychiatric drugs.
For most of them have been unstable for a long period of time and have been treated, for their mental instability. Mental illness and the kind of instability that causes mass murders of this nature just doesnt pop up. These are people who have been mentally deteriorating for a long time. And they have been treated with the appropriate medications to manage their symptoms.
Whether they complied with follow up treatment, or took their medications, or not, is about judgment, which is something most mentally ill people do not have. As a matter of fact, lack of judgment is a symptom in most mental illnesses.
So to start talking about how these people were on different antidepressants, benzos, mood stabilizers, and antipsychotics and point fingers at the medications, is ridiculous.
It is the mental illness, not the medication or the gun that is at issue.
You would be better served to criticize a broken mental health system which is so hampered by HIPPA and Patient Rights that it is unable to prevent all but the most IMMEDIATE dangerous patients (and they have to prove it to the courts) from leaving the building.
You are all right, we did not have this sort of thing years ago and a good portion of what is going on is thus: people do what they are told, think what they are told, and the mentally ill have less filters from the common culture than others. They reflect the culture.
Therefore the violence our culture censored years ago, that many people either avoid or can filter, goes straight to the minds of the mentally ill and influences them greatly.
Censorship in the past was not there to keep you in the dark but instead was in place to protect the weak, including the weak-minded....and thus...the society as a whole.
We have eliminated hospital beds from our healthcare system in general and have closed down long term facilities for the mentally ill and developmentally retarded. We have shut down facilities that used to school and board troubled and mentally ill children and adolescents, and have opened programs that handle much less, and that require a much higher bar to enter, than before.
We have given adolescents patient rights, and have moved parents and guardians to the sidelines in decision-making for their care. I have seen frustrated and end of rope patents kill their mentally ill children and then suicide because the options of homes and locked facilities are not longer present.
No this is not an issue of pharma or guns, this is an issue of what we have become as a culture.
We had individuals in the old system who were abused in the large institutions. I submit that between homelessness, lack of treatment, people who predate on the mentally ill and retarded, and the damages and injuries caused by the mentally ill and mentally retarded, there is far more abuse and crime today that there ever was in post-war institutions in the US.
The large institutions of old, were places developed in compassion. In older times, families locked their mentally ill in attics, or starved and killed them. Towns fathers would quietly capture and kill dangerous mentally ill. We chose to give them a home and three hots and a cot. That is gone. We refuse to take care of these people and we are letting them die, and we are letting them kill. I suspect the larger issue is to control the culture, and remove guns.
Dont blame pharma, blame your local leftist lawyer and politician for eliminating effective mental health care.
Such pills can sometimes defeat other mental defense mechanisms. For example it’s good not to worry, but it might be less bad to worry than to wallow in some other worse kind of mental hell that the worrying is distracting from.
A good doctor tries to understand his patients as people, not just as a case of xyz or whatever.
I know from experience that the side effects don’t discriminate (whether you are a nerve pain patient being prescribed meds for off label use, or are getting on label use prescription for mental issues). That doesn’t mean there isn’t / wasn’t some undiagnosed latent mental predisposition of higher risk for nerve pain sufferers, but it is suspicious.
There are serious faults with the FDA reporting system and the database made from it. MAUDE is a good example of that.
In the 50’s we had kids driving to school with guns in gun racks in their pickups. We did NOT have all these massacres.
Money line, right there. Something’s wrong here, and it isn’t the presence of any type of guns.
Please document what you ascertained and how you did so and in what capacity. Then the matter can be discussed with reason.
But, my own base postulate about humanity is a spiritual one. People were created by God with the intent that they should believe on God, which in turn has profound mental implications. If most people out there are not the solid creations God intends but instead are like mental jalopies held together with duct tape and baling wire, a duct tape remover is going to hurt a number of random people.
Maybe you meant TLC. THC really changes the meaning of your post. Uless that is what you meant.
“...many of these people claim to hear voices, and that needs further exploration....”
Yep....try googling MK ULTRA when you get a few minutes.
It supposedly ended way back when, but what IF it really didn’t?
Now, imagine adding in all modern digital technology and drugs to that mix.
Yeah, whoever or whatever is causing these, definitely needs real quality exploration. Whoever/whatever it is, needs to be permanently “terminated”.
True...
