Because the only heroes were the cadets?
No medals for the non-cadets or the gym teacher?
Are the cadets going to get a military funeral too with a 21 gun salute?
We must honor them ALL as the students they were - at least until the dead have been buried and mourned.
Not try to wrest control of the narrative with a feel good and vapid action which only plays into the socialists hands.
Seriously? Follow your logic and realize how illogical it is. So if an active duty military person is killed in a terror attack along with civilians the military cant honor? What about if a victim was a Boy Scout? The Scouts couldnt honor them? If the NEA wants to honor a teacher that died they cant? You seem to not grasp the basic principle that these kids were in ROTC, a para military and DoD sponsored organization. The Army can do whatever they want, just as USMA offered an honory acceptance to the class of 2022 to one of the students. Sorry, you still sound petty, shrill and really ridiculous.
Uh
Because the other people werent in JR ROTC
And this is an Army JR ROTC member recognition?
D’ oh!
The Wang boy was recognized from the outset as a hero for holding open the door to allow his classmatrs to escape
He has also been awarded posthumous admission to West Point Class of 2025
Why would the army give medals to non military? Are you really that stupid. Don’t answer
They asked for military honors. Not sure if they got them. I don’t think they should but this is the feel good generation so who knows.
No medals for the non-cadets or the gym teacher?
They are Army medals for military members. There are other appropriate civilian honors. I'm guessing you have no military training or experience, and that's OK if you're confused.
No.
Not from the military anyway.
Are the cadets going to get a military funeral too with a 21 gun salute?
At least one will be buried in his uniform.
We must honor them ALL as the students they were - at least until the dead have been buried and mourned.
Why?
Because you say so?
This is not a vapid sort of thing and it is something you do before the funeral so the person can be buried with their medal.
“Because the only heroes were the cadets?”
No, because the Real World isn’t “even Steven.”
I drill that into my kids ALL the time, “Don’t expect to get the same as everyone else; that’s not Real Life. SOMETIMES you do, but not always, and when you don’t, don’t be the whiner going around grousing about it not being fair. Fair is a weather condition, not a valid expectation of how life will treat you, so just get over it.”
Wow, thats a very ignorant statement.
The JROTC is part of the army. It is appropriate for them to honor their members (I was JROTC in high school).
You are the one “jumping out with comments” to soon. Gather facts, think and than speak.
