New: Trump just said he signed a memo directing the Attorney General to propose a rule outlawing bump stocks, all devices "that turn legal weapons into machine guns." He expects those regulations to be finalized "very soon."

To be honest, I really don't think that will make much of a difference. They were used in that one shooting in Vegas but typically aren't. Also, if you Google bump stocks, one of the things you see is how to make homemade ones. The NRA is in favor of it too, though.

The NRA is in favor of it tooWhen I Googled it, it appeared the NRA was initially supporting a ban but eventually saw the light and decided it'd be a bad idea.
Sadly, the president seems to be in the dark.
