White nationalist provocateurs, a pair of fake news sites, an army of Twitter bots and other cyber tricks helped derail Democratic Senator Al Franken last year, new research shows.
While everyone has been focused on Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election to support Donald Trump, the Franken takedown originated inand was propelled bya strategic online campaign with digital tentacles reaching to, of all places, Japan.
Analysts have now mapped out how Hooters pinup girl and lad-mag model Leeann Tweeden's initial accusation against Franken became effective propaganda after right-wing black ops master Roger Stone first hinted at the allegation.

Al brought Al down.
The truth got out and he didn’t like the truth coming out.

“Tit-for-Tat”, right? This dweeb-faced orangutan took Jeff Sessions out of office yet he’s still pretending to be there.

Yeah. The behavior in that pic had nothing, zero, nada to do with Frankensteins demise. Its all Russians, the alt right and bots who caused it, not the slime ball senator. Mmmmmm hhmmmmm.

Senator Al, self-professed “Giant of the Senate,” resigned because of pressure from his own party.

Defending Al Franken is par for the course for the author of this piece: "In a 1998 essay for Mirabella, Burleigh described an occasion aboard Air Force One when she noticed President Bill Clinton apparently looking at her legs. The piece led to her being described as "the Ally McBeal of former White House reporters" by columnist Ellen Goodman. Approached by a Washington Post media reporter to discuss the Mirabella article, Burleigh stated, I would be happy to give him a blowjob just to thank him for keeping abortion legal. I think American women should be lining up with their Presidential kneepads on to show their gratitude for keeping the theocracy off our backs.[51][52] Referring to the comment in a 2007 piece for The Huffington Post, Burleigh wrote, "I said it (back in 1998, but a good quote has eternal life) because I thought it was high time for someone to tweak the white, middle-aged beltway gang taking Clinton to task for sexual harassment. These men had neither the personal experience nor the credentials to know sexual harassment when they saw it, nor to give a good goddamn about it if they did. The insidious use of sexual harassment laws to bring down a president for his pro-female politics was the context in which I spoke."[53]":

With A Single Question, Meghan McCain Leaves Democrat Senator Stammering

[snip] Gillibrand was stumped when McCain asked her if Hillary Clinton should be chastised for keeping an aide on her campaign after a woman accused him of sexual harrassement in 2007. You are a longtime supporter of the Clintons and consider her a mentor. Do you think her response this weekend was appropriate? McCain asked. Gillibrand stammered for a few seconds before saying she didnt know all the details, and that the attention should be focused on the sexual harassment women face in the workplace, which is precisely whats at issue with Clintons aide... A lot of people were really surprised it took you 20 years to say Bill Clinton shouldve resigned over the Lewinksy scandal, so what do you say to that? McCain asked the Democratic senator. [/snip]

Then he should challenge Senator Smith in the primary if he feels robbed.

You are right bert. Even with all the baggage Moore almost won. He would have won with ease if he had not been so flawed. He simply shot himself in the foot. Some of what was out there was garbage, but not all. Only consolation is that the dummy who got elected will be gone in less than two years.
