Don’t go wobbly, Mr. President.
Not good.
As with most news Ill give it 24 hours before getting my blood pressure up.
What we need here is an empty useless gesture.
Was there any paperwork done when the Police visited the home 39 times ?
Lock up the loonies
Ok, at the risk of being eviscerated because of lack of knowledge, what is wrong with tougher background checks?
These gun control folks will try to push a law on the national level because for one reason: the USSC.
They are for a court challenge.
Having a national “Toga Party” would be far more useful than adding new “gun control” laws.
I’m more concerned with the school policy that says....we will not notify police...no matter what you do....stuff like carrying ammunition in your backpack is okay with us...you little bad boy.
First-person shooter video games have proliferated since Columbine.
Im all for banning them and recalling all deployed media.
I wonder how the anti-2A zealots will respond.
Will they decry the violation of the 1A?
The school district never reported to the police that the shooter brought ammunition onto school grounds, which is a felony.
The school administrators should be charged as accessories.
Quick!! Someone guess my state of mind!!! Someone read my mind!!
Cause last I checked, something called emotions can change that state pretty quickly.
Knowing that, the most STRICT gun enforcement laws will still have a BIG GAPING HOLE in them.
You know, like a democrat’s head.
Feel-good legislation.
Nikolas Cruz had no prior criminal record and he cleared background checks.
This is beyond stupid.
Most states cut back on mental health facilities.
The president should have a round table discussion with adults from the school system, school board, parents, and law enforcement in the area. He should ask them all about why they allow students to attend school with mentally ill lunatics. He should ask if the lunatics have more rights than the students who want an education in a safe, productive environment. He should ask the adults in Broward County why they did nothing about the mentally ill shooter and why they allowed him to have access to weapons of any variety rather than a straight jacket. I bet if you interviewed his elementary school teachers that you would find that he was known to be crazy when he was younger.
Since the last major incidents seemed to include failures on the part of the government to keep their records straight, a review of how they do their job seems to be in order.
The NICS system is good but if the government isn’t keeping their records up to date, they must do better.
I’m full 2A, but also believe true mental defectives and criminals need to be prevented from legal gun ownership.
So what check would have stopped this little pervert from getting a gun, seeing as the school district, as a matter of policy, did not report his crime of bringing ammunition onto school grounds in a backpack and as a matter of policy would not have reported any other crime he committed?
We’ll see. He held on amnesty so far,at least. So I’m not too worried here.
