When Vonn tweeted her disappointment, Trump supporters were more than happy to bash her There are no participation trophies at the Winter Olympics, only medals. Nobody knows that better than Lindsey Vonn, who finished off the podium in the super-G on Saturday in South Korea. After the race was over, Vonn took to Twitter to express her frustration for the outcome of the race.
In response to the tweet, Vonn's timeline was filled with thousands of responses. The skiing star -- who has been critical of Donald Trump -- found user after user mocking her for the finish, with many referencing "karma" for her poor finish. In December, Vonn said that she was hoping to ski "for the people ... not the president" at the Winter Olympics, a comment that drew the ire of quite a few supporters of the president. Apparently, that frustration hasn't dissipated.

Great quote, whether or not she actually trained intensively for 6 years. (I will assume she did.) That “there must be a mistake” look on the Czech girl after she saw her time was classic.

For alpine skiing, it is usually used literally. I don't want her to break a leg; losing to another snowboarder would be fine.
I don’t know why coaches and families don’t stress to athletes to keep quiet about their politics

We have posters saying she needs attention and I don’t care what she says. Well we are giving her attention and we are showing we do care what she says. Otherwise why all the fuss.
I think because of the equipment factor that the bobsled thing is very political. Yeah you are right it was painful to watch.
I have found that the athletes who get involved in politics (Vonn, Kenworthy, etc) have not fared well in this Olympics. Perhaps if they focused on their sport instead of politics, they would have done better.
In my limited reality, I have yet to meet a liberal in the last few decades, who isn’t a full blown liar about everything.
Lindsey is going to be passed around from rap star to rap star when she’s done with the Olympics.
