When Vonn tweeted her disappointment, Trump supporters were more than happy to bash her There are no participation trophies at the Winter Olympics, only medals. Nobody knows that better than Lindsey Vonn, who finished off the podium in the super-G on Saturday in South Korea. After the race was over, Vonn took to Twitter to express her frustration for the outcome of the race.
In response to the tweet, Vonn's timeline was filled with thousands of responses. The skiing star -- who has been critical of Donald Trump -- found user after user mocking her for the finish, with many referencing "karma" for her poor finish. In December, Vonn said that she was hoping to ski "for the people ... not the president" at the Winter Olympics, a comment that drew the ire of quite a few supporters of the president. Apparently, that frustration hasn't dissipated.

Are you sure? I thought she missed the 2014 Olympics due to injuries.
She won at Vancouver in 2010. In 2014 she was injured and missed the Olympics in Sochi.

I am glad she didn’t medal (yet). I have scarcely watched the Olympics this year, and I have always been a big fan of the winter games. Mouthy people like Vonn, and emphasis on the gay skater and his Pence hatred, and the gay skier with his entourage of gay rainbow flags has turned me off to the whole thing. I guess the Olympic games are another thing that has been ruined by the left.

They made such a huge fuss about Rippon solely because he is gay — he didn’t medal (except as the weak end of the team event) and is nowhere near the top male skaters in the world, but ofc since he is part of the propaganda Olympic “GAYmes” they have to make a big deal about him, neglecting coverage of many better athletes who don’t happen to be GAY.
The only thing I look forward to is hockey..and we were trounced by the Russians.
America wants to hear from people, not harpies like Vonn.
Unfortunately she’s a washed up has been. Her only hope for even the slightest Olympic attention is to announce she’s turned gay and plans to marry Oprah. At this point it’s her only hope.
Instead of punishing the athlete, I'm punishing the media by not watching any of the figure skating or ice dancing competitions, interviews or news about it. This will hurt them more than anything.
Lindsay should watch the movie Cool Hand Luke. Because Lindsay doesn’t have her head straight yet. As Rush would say “someone is living in her head rent free.”

DITTO.... I always looked forward to the Olympics. When the athletes started sounding off and trashing our President, that turned me off completely. When any athlete, right or left, injects politics into their sport efforts, they turn me off completely. Btw, I don’t recall any Olympic athletes trashing President Obama when he was President, and if they did, they were not publicized with all the glamour these haven been this year.
Why do sports figures, like Vonn and LeBron James, think that anybody really cares what they think about anything outside their sport?...................
