He was expelled from the school for his behavior. I don't understand why the school wouldn't have a list that included those who have been expelled over the past few years who couldn't enter the building. All school buildings today have, or should have, a system where anyone entering the building has to "buzz in" to have the door unlocked and sign in at the office.

One can't help but suspect that security and front office weren't following these procedures.

Every company I’ve worked at has such a badge admittance system. Of course, that protects kids inside the building but leaves athletic fields unprotected. Club, athletes, cheerleaders, field trips — lots of opportunities for the insane outside the school building.

From what I understand, he didn’t enter the school until 7th hour. How did he get through the door in the first place? Wouldn’t the office have to buzz him in? Are the doors left unlocked while school is in session? Since 9/11, every school I know of in my city had instituted strict measures as to who entered after final bell, and while students entered as well. The office knew who he was and knew he wasn’t to be allowed in. I don’t understand how he even gained access to the school.
