As the story about the horrific mass shooting in Parkland, Florida was still developing today, CNN didn't even wait for all the facts to come in before beginning its push for a discussion about guns."
At 3:17 PM EST, CNN National Security Analyst Juliette Kayyem made her gun control pitch by misinforming the network's viewers, claiming that America is "the only nation that has this kind of violence." According to NewsBusters, which transcribed the relevant segment, Kayyem said:
Yet again, you cannot have these conversations with at least saying every time we are the only nation that has this kind of violence and presumably gun violence, obviously, in particular focused on our children. It is just ridiculous. My daughter is coming home from an urban high school in the next 20 minutes. It's its like no other country lives or allows themselves to live and here we are, another time, having a discussion about guns as being a security issue for our children.
Instead of correcting Kayyem's egregious factual error, CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin agreed with Kayyem:

Time to bring back school gun clubs.
I totally agree! Let’s start the conversation with why there are no teachers carrying guns in that school and why shootings like this have beem so quickly stopped by armed teachers or armed security guards.

“Another gun free zone.”
The obvious solution is to make schools even more gun free-er than they are now. They should also make the new signs bigger so gunmen can’t pretend they didn’t see the sign.

Ditto for Brett Baier.
I agree. Let’s discuss repealing the gun-free zones for schools.
Whenever a leftist moron (but I repeat myself) brings up school shootings and gun control, I like to point out that the largest school massacre in US history occurred in 1927...and no guns were involved.

I hate that they make him their go-to mouth for such incidents.
Here’s the dirty little secret: The Left get sexually excited every time a tragedy like this happens.....To Hell with the victims, they simply LOVE it when tragedy (supposedly) supports their narrative.
On Fox, Bill Nelson might’ve beat CNN to it. Not sure of the exact time, but he did it very early on.
