Adviser to Khamenei says aid collectors for Palestinians sought to deploy reptiles whose skin 'attracted atomic waves'

The former chief-of-staff of Irans armed forces said Tuesday that Western spies had used lizards to attract atomic waves and spy on his countrys nuclear program.
It was the latest in a long line of incidents of Western countries, including Israel, being accused of deploying secret agents from the animal kingdom.
Hassan Firuzabadi, senior military adviser to supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was responding to questions from local media on the recent arrest of environmentalists.
He said he did not know the details of the cases, but that the West had often used tourists, scientists and environmentalists to spy on Iran.
Several years ago, some individuals came to Iran to collect aid for Palestine We were suspicious of the route they chose, he told the reformist ILNA news agency.
In their possessions were a variety of reptile desert species like lizards, chameleons We found out that their skin attracts atomic waves and that they were nuclear spies who wanted to find out where inside the Islamic Republic of Iran we have uranium mines and where we are engaged in atomic activities, he said.
Firuzabadi said Western spy agencies had failed every time.
His comments came after news that a leading Iranian-Canadian environmentalist, Kavous Seyed Emami, had committed suicide in prison after he was arrested along with other members of his wildlife NGO last month.
Several spying allegations involving various creatures have been leveled against Israel over the past years.
In January 2016, Lebanese residents captured a griffon vulture wearing an Israeli tracking device, but released it upon realizing that the transmitter strapped to the bird was intended for scientific research rather than espionage.
Several months earlier, Hamas claimed to have caught a dolphin wearing Israeli spying equipment.
Twice in recent years, Turkish media has highlighted allegations that birds tagged with Israeli university tracking devices were on espionage missions.
In 2012, an eagle with an Israeli tag in Sudan was captured and alleged to be as a Mossad spy.
Two years earlier, an Egyptian official said Israel-controlled sharks may have been involved in a number of attacks on tourists in the Red Sea.
Bob, for goodness’ sake, you are a marvelous person with so many gifts that you share freely with others. If that’s your definition of curmudgeon, yeah, I bet there are a LOT of them in Heaven.
When my family comes entreatingly to me with a plea of “Daaad”, my typical response is to loudly say “NO!”
And then say, “But just out of idle curiosity, what was it you wanted?”
Evening, Bob. Howzit where you live?
Beautiful weather which I’ve been ignoring for the sake of being lazy.
Face it, Bob. They're onto you. :)
I was explaining the other day that I like getting my "good deed for the day" over and done with early so that I can then go back to my accustomed behavior.
Man, the looks I get.
Sounds good to me.
Yesterday, in the ladies’ bathroom at the camp dining hall, a little girl asked her mother, “Is that a boy or a girl?” “Neither,” I said. “I’m an old lady. Don’t worry, I don’t bite.”
You’re a braver man than I am, Gunga Din.
I wouldn’t tell that story on myself.
I was wearing Scout uniform pants, a pink and white checked long-sleeve blouse, an ugly gray Day Camp Staff t-shirt, and a straw hat with a big red rose.
What’s wrong with cheesecake for breakfast?
I mean, you’ve got your dairy, you’ve got your cereal, and if it has a topping you’ve got your fruit.
Add a cup of coffee and it’s a deal.. ;-)
Probably what made me think you looked like Gunga Din, except for the rose.
“If you can’t tell the difference, it doesn’t make a difference.” — Another Bobism
And the pale complexion.
My fellow-worker in Archery, Miz Guinevere, has red hair to her waist, but she was wearing her husband's pants, the same ugly t-shirt, and a straw hat without a big red rose.
We always change our gender for Scout camp. Why, a couple of years ago, I found that a blouse I'd taken from the women's rack at The Salvation Army was actually a man's shirt. I used to re-donate my camp shirts, but I found I really liked the pink and white one I bought last year, so I kept it.
Windows 10 is one of the worst “inventions” imposed on people because one no longer gets the options of which updates to install. Updates are installed according to what MS wants you to have — across the board.
(FYI, I’ve placed a small sticker over the camera lens, because you never know when NSA might come calling.)
I’ve tried to convert it to Firefox but for some reason it won’t let me import my “Favorites” file. But I’ll keep trying because I loathe, abhor and detest Win10.
Heh! That was kind of you. ;o]
Yes, I agree. I often have a banana split for breakfast. I figure all the major food groups are represented, so how can I lose?
Life is good!
What unusual coloring that little floof has!
How are you this morning? Did you sleep well last night?
Will this be another busy day for you?
Christina is supposed to come and color my hair this morning. I was going to put the permanent in but I’m just too tired to deal with it. (Relapse, which is why my brain is once more filled with gray lint.) So I figured I’d let her color it, and then Monday, I’d go someplace and get it cut so the curl comes back. Then, after the color is mostly gone, I’ll put the permanent in. It may be in another state, but oh well.
I made comparisons on the truck rental companies that offer car haulers and these are the results for 154 miles:
Penske $911 (With my AAA discount!)
U-Haul $387
Budget $294
Same equipment, same mileage.
The storage unit is $107.
Now all I need is a definite date.
Good morning. The kitten lives in Ukraine. I’m okay this morning, slept reasonably well, but Jake was ready for me to be up. I was just sitting outside with him for a few minutes, listening to the grackles griping, when a hummingbird buzzed up, checked the feeders, and buzzed off irritably. So now I’m boiling water to make sugar syrup to refill the feeders. I confess that didn’t cross my mind this week, although I did have Tom refill the seed feeders.
Yes, today will be busy, too. We have the Spanish Charismatic Women’s Retreat this morning, 8-11, and then I have practice for Sunday Mass with Manuel y Asuncion. PatJamesVlad are leaving for Boy Scout Camp tomorrow, so the afternoon will be devoted to gathering whatever they’re missing for their packing. Also, I’ll run the dishwasher today.
I hope your hair coloring and cut goes well. I plan to go to the nail salon next week, on some day when Tom is at home to supervise Frank and Kathleen. Frank has several social events scheduled while his brothers are away.
I’m glad you slept well. The grackles here are almost as numerous as the pigeons and mockingbirds and if I never see another one of any of them it will be too soon.
The wind here is predominately from the SE, and since my apartment faces east and the patio is open to the east and north, the winds blow the feeders so much that the syrup fall on the patio and the ants get the feast instead of the hummingbirds. And there are a LOT of hummingbirds! I need a shepherd’s crook to hang a feeder in front of the patio fence, high enough that the cats can’t get it.
I’d like to get a full set of nails, but even in this little berg of Hooterville, it would cost upwards of $50, so I just bought some glue-on French tips. They will serve for as long as I need them...the reception is Saturday evening, and after that, I don’t care if they come off. ;o]
