Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
1 Corinthians 13:4-5
The naïve assumption President Trump was a Ronald Reagan is now over. His signing of Porkulous2.0 is proof he does not have the budget fight in him. The continued fear of shutting down the gummit has the Party petrified even though there is not a shred of evidence it damages their chances of losing seats and there is a strong argument it gains. The one thing which defines a President is his budget fight which was a clear loss to the Dems as they got everything they wanted and more in a bloated bill Barak minus the military spending would have signed.
President Trump has done so many things since he has been elected to promote the Conservative cause from the pipelines, deregulation, cutting taxes as well as improving the work environment, but you cannot cut taxes and not decrease spending if you want capitalism to work. The first year there will be a shortage of tax dollars until the added economic growth brings in more tax payers which is why you cut. In addition to balancing the budget cutting spending shrinks the size and scope of gummit which creates more freedom for Americans who do not live in the District of Corruption.
It did not help the stock market was tanking during the negotiations and there was the mini scandal of Rob Porter which could not focus on the budget, but it seemed President Trump was not involved. It seemed as if he did not want this fight and whatever it took to get the increase in defense spending was all that mattered. As important as defense spending is you need to clean-up the waste before you increase spending and that goes for the Pentagon as well.
The worst part of the budget was the increase in welfare and gigantic pork projects filling the swamp with more fat to feed the snakes. This gives them more money to pay to their cronies who grow fatter and more dangerous. The only way to drain the swamp is to cut off the money they all feed on. There are 650 creatures in the Capital building who most are doing the bidding for the lobbyists who pay them to vote one way or they will have a hard time raising funds for reelection.
President Trump is not a Conservative ideologue although he would like to be one. You have to be pretty deep in the weeds to understand the importance of cutting the funding of DC. He has not been a Conservative very long so the foundation has not been laid on his beliefs the way it is on the more deeply ground Conservative. In addition he has done more in his first year on the moral and structural issues than any President perhaps ever, so this one is understandable. Not so for Marble Mouth McConnell who once again went to his first reflex which is fold like a cheap suit and give Schmuckie the win. He and McCain not resigning are unforgivable in the biggest battle of the year.
When you have both branches of Congress and the WH you would expect to come away with a better budget than they got. Yes, the last thing Dems wanted to increase was the military, but why at such a high price? The other issue was the stimulus billions seem like the old throwing money at the problem hoping for a solution. What are the safeguards the money is not sent down the same rat hole the money went down during the Barak regime?
The fact there needs to be sixty votes in a budget begs for bloated budgets since the minority Party has all the leverage they need to force the majority to buy their votes. This is why there are deficits as far as the eye can see. Next year when there is the largest deficit in histoir Trump and the Repubs will get all the blame and why they should have at least put up at least the smallest fight rather than just rubber stamp whatever Schumer and Pelosi brought them. This also eliminates the argument for more Repubs since they are just as interested in spending money as the Dems are.
As much as most would have loved to see a Congressional battle or a Trump veto that was never going to happen.
The behind the scenes negotiations must have agreed to the futility of this battle and why everyone surrendered. With a growing economy and mostly positive trends they must have decided to wait for a better time to fight this war. Hopefully the next budget will be the time to at least shoot a BB gun. This budget was a yuge disappointment.
Pray America woke
Note: The above opinion is not necessarily my own, but FReeper Brays. If you wish to discuss this, please ping Bray.
No time to watch these MSM schiff shows today. Have to watch the bath tub drain. Lame duck Jeffy Flake and Jeh Johnson. Theres an all star crew for yah.
Id rather choke on a turkey bone than watch Jeff Flake.
On the contrary....I did a double take thinking AB got the week wrong. More Republicans than I can remember. Mulvaney, Jordan, Short, Meadows, Kellyanne. Very unusual, though we’ll hear plenty of lame-brain lefty crap; such as CofS Kelly is responsible for a speechwriters behaviour in a previous life.
“...More Republicans ...Very unusual...”
That was my take as well.
Looks like we have four or five good guys on today we’ll see what happens
Much of what you say is true but it ignores what’s going on in the backgrounds we have thousands of warrants that are that are out now many more so several thousand in California alone these all have to be processed and people will be indicted and it’s that there’s so much going on in the background it’s impossible to do everything right all the time and it remains to be seen about the deficits due to the tax cuts which will increase Revenue so I think it all remains to be seen
Could be a pretty decent week on the shows a lot of our guys are pretty fearless and don’t take any crap off the Drivebys.
Did all the Dems turn them down?
Below are the words from my daily political diary. It is quite long so scroll on by if not interested. But do stay around and add your commentary and point of view to the thread.
Check out the acerbic but thought-provoking commentary of DanZ.

THE EAGLES WON THE SUPER BOWL!!!
And no player got on a knee.
But the folks in Philadelphia are tearing that town apart.
Why?
---------------------------
Stock market dropped yesterday by 1,175 plus.
Allegedly it's because of a fear of inflation and a possible raise in interest rates.
It was time for a stock market adjustment. And so it is.

The stock markets goes on a roller coaster ride.
In this past year my 401K went up some $13,000.
The sudden down draft yesterday didn't wipe out my gains but I got nervous.
Today the stock market went up by almost 600, gaining back a good amount of monies lost yesterday when the stock market plunged over a thousand.
I guess it's just an adjustment because every day that thing was going up at an amazing rate.
Thus all will settle down and I have not lost all my savings.

Two great radio shows aired yesterday that I'd like to summarize.
First is Mark Levin's show on 2/7/18.
Levin went over quite a few investigations by the FBI, loser burgers, America's KGB.
At one time, like many Americans, I admired the FBI, considered them a top notch investigatory agency. Now I can't stand any of them who would get involved in over-turning elections and file fake requests for FISA.
Levin reviewed the infamous anthrax deliveries that followed the Iraq war.
It would turn out that FBI, idiots and boobaloobs, focused on Steven Hatfill, a guy who should have been a suspect, make no mistake, but after six years they finally arrested the REAL perp.
Who led this investigation and wasted six years and millions of dollars investigating the wrong guy?
ROBERT MUELLER!!!!
Just remember this when another political partisan tells you how wonderful this jerk is.
Levin also went over the big accounting scandal of Enron, holding the firm of Arthur Andersen, who I once worked for.
There was also the Martha Stewart mess. I don't like Martha Stewart particularly but she should not have been thrown in jail for denying why she sold stock. How could the FBI prove such a thing.
BUT THEY ARE THE GODS OF ALL CREATION!!! They are the wonder of the universe and the must serve their masters in the administration to keep their jobs.
As for Enron, the FBI managed to shut down Arthur Andersen with their awful investigation which got overturned by the courts.
Below, some excerpts on terrible FBI investigations. AND DON'T FORGET RICHARD JEWELL!!!
----------------------------------
To be sure, there was less of the ambient dread that followed the 2001 attacks, when the letters laced with anthrax were sent. Those letters set off widespread panic, with fears that Al Qaeda was behind them. The White House ordered staff members to take an antibiotic, Cipro, as a protective measure. The F.B.I., after a long investigation, concluded that a military scientist, Bruce Ivins, had sent the letters. He was about to be charged in 2008 when he committed suicide.
From
After the anthrax letters were mailed in September and October of 2001, the FBI for nearly five years pursued a former Army virologist, Steven Hatfill, as the prime suspect.
Hatfill had filled several prescriptions in 2001 for Cipro, an antibiotic effective against anthrax, among other infections. He had also boasted of his expertise in biological warfare.
Based on this and other information, inspector Richard Lambert, handpicked by FBI Director Robert S. Mueller III to lead the investigation, was convinced that Hatfill was the perpetrator. With Mueller's backing, he drove his agents to find evidence to support an indictment against Hatfill. It never came.
From
Arthur Andersen was charged with and found guilty of obstruction of justice for shredding the thousands of documents and deleting e-mails and company files that tied the firm to its audit of Enron.[149] Although only a small number of Arthur Andersen's employees were involved with the scandal, the firm was effectively put out of business; the SEC is not allowed to accept audits from convicted felons. The company surrendered its CPA license on August 31, 2002, and 85,000 employees lost their jobs.[150][151] The conviction was later overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court due to the jury not being properly instructed on the charge against Andersen.[152] The Supreme Court ruling theoretically left Andersen free to resume operations. However, the damage to the Andersen name has been so great that it has not returned as a viable business even on a limited scale.

Mark Levin did a great job of going over these items and taught me that the FBI is a bunch of turkeys whose main talent is kissing the butt of superiors.
And to hell with the American public.
> Tomorrow, Rush Limbaugh's marvelous take on the matter.
--------------------------
Friday Date-2/9/18
Wednesday Radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh gave a very believable scenario about this Russian scenario and the attempts to impeach Donald Trump.
All of the hiding and lying and corruption is to protect, guess who?
BARACK OBAMA!!!!
President Obama was bought and paid for by the Muslim Brotherhood, everybody knows that. He sold uranium to Iran and recently, with the help of Hillary, sold Russia 20% of AMERICA'S uranium!
What's America to do?
A handsome, personable black man gets elected in the United States for the first time.
Should congress and investigators do the right thing, find his whole administration guilty, including Hillary Clinton, Loretta Lynch, Eric Holder the whole bunch of them?
The wholesale arrest of those who thought it was perfectly fine to sell out this country is bound to cast a dark cloud across the political life of America.
Frankly I think all this attempt to ridiculously impeach a lawfully elected president, the corruptors just give it up. Make a deal with Obama that he goes away and keeps mostly silent.
For sure Hillary Clinton needs to go away. Her own party can't stand her.
Send Valerie Jarrett back to Iran and make her stay there.
Then allow the congress and president run the country without making every other damn country on this earth rich off of American money.
None of them, not Barack, Valjar or Hillary loved America.
America was a way to get rich and gain power across the world.

The biggest smirk of the day yesterday was Nancy Pelosi's assertion that her grandson expressed a wish that he could be like his friend.
When Nancy asked why, the grandson he wanted to be a pretty light brown.
Or something.
This is such a dumb thing for the House minority leader to say I must imagine how dumb she is.
Yeah, I used to play games with Nancy Pelosi when I was child. Beat her all the time although she's almost ten years older.
Only she was Nancy D'Alesandro then.
It's an intriguing story.

On a personal note, my story on the subject of the empowerment of women has been selected for a Chicken Soup for the Soul compendium on the same subject.
Indeed Ronald Reagan was President, I worked for Western Electric, the manufacturing arm of AT&T, and AT&T was being broken up.
Heh. Mighty AT&T is still a huge company today but Western Electric no longer exists.
They locked the only other female in my department in the high voltage cage and thought it was cute.
I threatened, yes I did, to report to "60 Minutes" because what a story that woulda been.
But they fired some folks and I, ladies and gems, was elected Union Rep and eventually got a big promotion.
It's quite a story and I wrote a book about it: "Everything You Need to Know About Being a Woman Can Be Learned in the Garden."

Dear Patricia
Your story The High Voltage Cage has made it to the final selection round for Chicken Soup for the Soul: The Empowered Woman. Only a small percent of the submitted stories have made it this far.

This is my tenth time selected for these books.

It is ALWAYS about - follow the Money $$
I called in to one of our local radio shows Thursday. The Host is a financial guy - the stock market update I posted here a few weeks back is from his WEB site. I was on hold for a while as he has regular guests, one of whom is a conservative local Houston Councilman. I commented on the upcoming Texas Primary (early March) and that I was very happy to see a Primary opponent to my local "republican" congressman. At that point I was unable to add any additional comments.
The Amusing portion followed my comment. The Financial guy , in a nice way addresses Johnny " Porkulous" Culberson's voting record vs. his B.S. when on the radio with the financial guy.
The local republican councilman defended Johnny " Porkulous" Culberson as a nice guy.
The moral of the story - "Republican Elected officials" are a private club. We pay for their club privileges, but we do NOT get to go inside and have a say.
With the Primaries upon us I would urge everyone to vote out the INCUMBENT
This weekends' lineup looks VERY entertaining
Great post fortunately for us typically if we know it Trump knows it as well and you can believe he’s taking action.
there’s so many warrants and indictments out there across the country thousands and thousands that you know the job is getting done just that we don’t hear about it or read about it
Shiff could be higher up than any of us know it’s quite possible he has links all the way back to the Rothchilds historically.
no telling how high up this guy is.
is he crazy ?
quite possibly.
