President Trump is not ready to approve the release of a Democratic memo meant to rebut a controversial document released by Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee last week, the White House announced.
White House counsel Don McGahn announced the decision in a letter to House Intelligence Committee Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) on Friday.
"Although the President is inclined to declassify the February 5th Memorandum, because the Memorandum contains numerous properly classified and especially sensitive passages, he is unable to do so at this time," McGahn wrote.

I just read and I hope I understood it correctly, President Trump is going to send the memo BACK TO THE DEMS to have THEM delete the offending passages.

They won't leak it. If they release it then it could turn out to be a bust. As long as Trump blocks it then people wonder what he's trying to hide and it works more to their advantage.

He released the other one without redacting in spite of the FBI protests. This one he wants to redact. His hands aren't clean so far as the media will be concerned. They'll claim he's hiding something.

The point is, it is ridiculous to try and play Democrat narrative games. They will say whatever it is they will regardless of Trump does. They want him dead and gutted. When dealing with enemies-to-the-death, act accordingly. Their words are predictable and meaningless. He has the power. He should (and did) use it.

Trump should have said as soon as dems state that the FBI saw it and redacted security info,I will release it..If dems refuse to say the showed it to the FBI,then it means they want our enemies to be reading national security secrets....
Smart move by Trump. Why have them release it if doesn’t show what Obama did?
If it does contain classified material and it gets leaked, Trump will know who leaked it. Odds are that Schiff will be the leaker.
