A Swampscott elementary school principal recently came out as transgender, according to letters released to the school community on Feb. 6 and, a day later, to the press.
“I can now say it: I am transgender,” wrote Shannon Daniels, 52, principal of Swampscott’s Stanley Elementary School and who formerly went by the name Tom, in a letter to the community. “For me that means I identify as both a male and female, and I plan to move toward presenting myself and identifying as female.”
Daniels wrote of struggling with her gender identity since she was in elementary school, suppressing the feelings for more than 40 years .
“While I was successful to a degree, I have never felt completely happy or at peace,” the principal wrote in her letter to the school community Feb. 6. “I got to the point that I thought I would never be able to reveal my true self. Frankly, the prospect of doing so was terrifying.”
She goes on to note her public announcement was met with nothing but support from the school that she leads.
“The wonderful Stanley School community is incredibly warm and accepting,” she writes. “I am proud to be the leader of this school, and I sincerely believe that the ability to live my life openly and authentically gives me great serenity and will make me a more sensitive, empathetic and effective leader.
She ended with a request: “I humbly ask that you support me as you would any family member going through a profound life change.”
As the principal’s identity transitions physically, she offered a trio of ways for parents to relay the changes to their children:
“There are many different ways boys and girls express themselves. It is important that we accept everyone as they are.” “Principal Daniels may look and sound different, but inside, Principal Daniels is the same, caring person.” “This doesn’t change the fact that Stanley School is a great place to be and learn.” “Principal Daniels has shared with us the intensely personal decision to identify as transgender,” wrote Swampscott Superintendent Pamela Angelakis in a letter to the Swampscott Community. “This will mark the beginning of an important community dialogue on the issue.”
With that said, Angelakis noted the Swampscott Public Schools will be providing opportunities for education and conversation about this topic in the near future.
She applaued Daniels and stated her admiration for the principal’s “courage, honesty and transparency”
“Principal Daniels has committed to being honest and transparent throughout this personal journey,” said Angelakis. “I will certainly do the same from the district’s perspective.”
Without being judgmental toward that person, I’d say a transgender principal of a school who has gone public with their transgenerism is going to create an unproductive distraction for the students. He/she should find another job.

Why are women in our society putting up with this? In Western society women have all the power when it comes to children. Men will do whatever women want. If women said they were not going to tolerate this nonsense all of the men would immediately say, “Yeah! We’re not going to tolerate this nonsense!” and that would be the end of it.
Instead, our civilization’s women say we have to be understanding and accepting and we don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings. Men’s gut reaction is to say, “That guy is f-ing nuts!” and to protect their children from his influence. But the women have taught the men to keep their mouths shut or face their wrath. The most weaselly of men realize that if they go all in and say, “I fully support this (nutbag’s) right to choose his own gender!” they can score extra approval. And that’s how this continues to creep its way throughout our culture.
I’ll say it again: Women could put a stop to this right now if they chose to do so.
Transgender ‘ideology’ is not just infecting our laws. It is intruding into the lives now of the most innocent among us...our children......What even doctors once treated as a mental illness, the medical community now affirms and even promotes this ‘behavior” as normal.
No one is born “trapped in the body of the wrong sex.”....everything about human beings is influenced by our DNA. On the other hand.... human ‘behavior’ is a composite of varying degrees fro nature and nurture.
....the ‘belief’ in “innate gender identity”...the idea that “feminized” or “masculinized” brains can be trapped in the wrong body from before birth—is a myth that has no basis in science.
The article provides no reference to his past life except that he, in his deranged mind, has always been a woman trapped in a man’s body. This glaring omission sets off alarm bells for me. Was he ever married? If so, does he have any children? Or did he just hide his homosexuality so as to appear to be a single heterosexual. If so, he hid in his foxhole until the shooting was over, and now he expects a Medal of Honor. It appears that the flakes in the school system are prepared to award him hero status.

No.One: Dump the federal Dept of Education. It’s unconstitutional.
No. Two: take the energy, time and $$$ spent on fighting the public school and use them to open small neighborhood, private schools that give parents oversight...cut the curriculum to EDUCATION - the 3 R’s that worked so well for hundreds of years, and kids going to school with their neighborhood friends and NOT lost in a warehouse of hundreds.
Free kids time up to 2 hours a day by not having the long bus rides.
no. 3: Local churches are perfect for small local schools: classrooms, bathrooms, kitchens,
auditoriums. They don’t have to be church run. Just ‘rent’ the church during weekdays... and could easily shave an hour or two off each day and teaching would be more successful - kids would have time for outdoor play after school.
no. 4: Combined classes - 2 grades pr class - would save in salaries and are quite successful as to teaching, learning.
No 5: Parental participation: volunteers for everything from ‘cafeteria to ‘extra’ classes like music, art, to teaching’ would also keep costs down.
You choose to have kids? It’s YOUR responsibility to see they aren’t subject to public schools. Pulling them out of public schools can bankrupt them =. They’ll have to start listening to the parents or close.

I worked with 2 guys who did transitioned. Both longtime married with kids. Both eventually got divorced. One killed himself, the other got fired.
Given its pedophilia and now “gender” perversion, I’d shoot it. Unfortunately it’s not worth the cost of the bullets.
Swampscott was a wonderful place from 1958-1961. The pier was brand new (now just a few rotting posts in the water). The New Ocean House was a thriving resort, and the butcher shop on the corner had the best Knockwurst anywhere (my first, so naturally they were the best).
Are the Parents worried about their children with a nut running the School ?
This has to be one of the stupidest, PC nonsense statements that I've heard in a long time. Why does he have to be "honest and transparent"? Why does the district? Its time to get the Hell back in the closet.

Back in my day, yes. Today, I don’t know, my kids would be pulled out of that school system.
