Enter Lisa Barsoomian, wife of Rod Rosenstein. Lisa is a high-powered attorney in Washington, DC, who specializes in opposing Freedom of Information Act requests on behalf of the Deep State, err, I mean, the Intelligence Communities.
Lisa Barsoomian works for R. Craig Lawrence, an attorney who has represented Robert Mueller three times, James Comey five times, Barack Obama forty-five times, Kathleen Sebellius fifty-six times, Bill Clinton forty times, and Hillary Clinton seventeen times between 1991 and 2017.
Barsoomian participated in some of this work personally and has herself represented the FBI at least five separate times. It would be great to research the specifics of the cases she worked in, many of the documents from the Court Docket relating to these cases have been removed from the D.C. District and Appeals Court, including her representation for Clinton in 1998’s case Hamburg. V. Clinton.

It seems like most trump appointments have not gotten the proper review by the FBI, medical, and tax offices. It is possible Trump is ignorant of the vetting process but more likely he just does not trust the FBI to properly do the vetting.

He needs to do the political vetting with his own people before turning the nominations over to the FBI, DOJ and/or other agencies for the criminal and conflict of interest vetting. He should have a team of trusted people in the White House who will look at the political and ideological backgrounds of potential candidates. This is not a job that can be delegated to Ivanka and Jared who are minimally social liberals.
Huck, Bolton and Newt would be great participants, for that vetting team.
First, Stone is being misleading. Barsoomian, an Armenian Christian, was and still is a government lawyer doing work assigned to her.
Trump’s legal transition team was made up of high-level representatives of a who’s who of the most prestigious US law firms, including ones with years close ties to Trump. Chris Christie brought many people into the Trump team, and they didn’t all leave when he left. So there are your vetters.
People like Bannon tried to dissuade Trump from those kinds of insiders, and that didn’t work out well either.
Am I the only one who wonders who the heck does the recruiting and hiring round the White House? Like nominating a lawyer with zero courtroom experience to be a Federal Circuit Court judge?
