Flake couldn’t win re-election.
Kasich didn’t make a dent against Trump in Ohio in 2016.
Fake news.

Kasich couldn’t win Ohio again. There is a great deal of resentment in the Republican party over his snubbing of the convention in Cleveland.
None of the Republican contenders for governor even want his endorsement.
Flake can’t even win reelection.

Progressive ideology, combined with excessive levels of arrogance and desire for power, infiltrate both the Democrat and Republican Parties.
Sometimes that Progressive ideology masks itself as "goodness" and "light." Beneath it all, however, there is, still, a coercive nature that must presume to be "above" and "more righteous" than others in order to impose its will upon fellow citizens whom such political animals consider to need instruction and control.

Those two have always been challengers to Trump. They may plan, however, to seek a more dramatic role to get noticed by the MSM. They will not get noticed by the voters.

Kasich should just change his name to Flake—because that is what they both are.
If Trump keeps it up, he will cruise the GOP nomination.

White House sees Flake, Kasich as 2020 challengers If that's the best the Democrats have...2020 will be a blowout for Trump!

FLASHBACK: Ted Cruz, John Kasich join forces to stop Donald Trump
I guess Cruz wasn't available this time.
Kasich is still pathetic!
To: kevcol
That twtchy squish Kasich has no shot to gain a following, he can be nothing more than an irritant. I could have seen the GOPe lining up behind Flake maybe, but Trump is turning the corner now in his Presidency, he’s putting the media and establishment narratives to death and getting big wins. Unless the economy tanks (or the stock market, which is possible) I don’t see a GOP challenge ammounting to anything.
