The city of Edina has changed the way it approaches public education, putting social justice above learning. The results will shock you.
For decades, the public schools of Edina, Minnesota, were the gold standard among the states school districts. Edina is an upscale suburb of Minneapolis, but virtually overnight, its reputation has changed. Academic rigor is unraveling, high school reading and math test scores are sliding, and students increasingly fear bullying and persecution.
The shift began in 2013, when Edina school leaders adopted the All for All strategic plana sweeping initiative that reordered the districts mission from academic excellence for all students to racial equity.
Equity in this context does not mean equality or fairness. It means racial identity politicsan ideology that blames minority students academic challenges on institutional racial bias, repudiates Martin Luther King, Jr.s color-blind ideal, and focuses on uprooting white privilege.
The Edina school districts All for All plan mandated that henceforth all teaching and learning experiences would be viewed through the lens of racial equity, and that only racially conscious teachers and administrators should be hired. District leaders assured parents this would reduce Edinas racial achievement gap, which they attributed to barriers rooted in racial constructs and cultural misunderstandings.

racial equity = muggings of white children.
barriers rooted in racial constructs and cultural misunderstandings = “if we can’t smarten up these “underserved” students (and tens of billions of dollars down the crapper shows we can’t) then we’re going to have to dumb down your white chillun. And if they get beat up along the way, at least you’ll have the warm feeling that you’re racially conscious.”
I believe this crap all comes from so-called higher education.
Blatantly racist. However, this is now the new normal in our schools and corporate cultures. Unreal how quickly he leftists took everything over.
It will become a typical inner city school soon as parents remove their children.
A lot of it comes from young, uneducated teachers embracing scapegoats for the failures of their students - especially in math - the least biased subject of all. As older teachers retire, they are often being replaced by truly ignorant, uneducated young people looking to work 180 part-time days - nothing more.
This does not surprise me one bit coming from Minnesota. I left that state in 2011, during Crazy Eyes Mark Dayton’s first year as governor. The RNC 8 were seen as heroes (the punks who trashed property during the 2008 Republican National Convention). At that time, any criticism of Obama, no matter how mild, got one labeled a neo Nazi KKK what have you - Obama was supposed to receive Kim level worship.
