Two sisters in Atlanta, Georgia, are accused of beating a 3-year-old to death after he snuck a cupcake from the kitchen.
Lashirley and Glenndria Morris were both indicted on felony murder charges over the death of Kejuan Mason, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
On Oct. 21, 2017, police got a call from a home on Cleveland Avenue in Southwest Atlanta, according to WCNC. When they got there they found medical personnel already performing CPR on Kejuan.
A police report stated that “From what I observed the house was infested with roaches.”
The pair currently remain in Fulton County jail.
During the incident, Lashirley used a baseball bat to beat Kejuan repeatedly on different parts of his body, according to a statement issued by the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office on Tuesday, Jan. 30.

At the same time, Glenndria, the child’s legal guardian, spanked the boy for eating the cupcake.
The 3-year-old was transported to Atlanta Medical center where he was pronounced dead. Paramedics at the scene said the child appeared not to be breathing for a while already, WCNC reported.
A report from the medical examiner’s office stated that the boy died from blunt force trauma.
If convicted, the sisters face life in prison, without the possibility of parole.
Glenndria told police initially that the boy had choked on a cupcake. She said another man had tried to do CPR and said that the emergency response took too much time. But she then changed her story, telling police the cupcake was removed and that the boy seemed to be fine.

A Fayette County man claims he is the father of a 10-year-old Arizona girl who authorities said suffocated in a footlocker where she was put as punishment for eating a Popsicle without permission.
Kenneth Griest of Grindstone said the victim, Ame Lynn Deal, was his biological daughter, though his name does not appear on the child’s birth certificate.
Ame was systematically starved and beaten, according to police in Phoenix. She suffocated July 12 after she was stuffed into the footlocker on a 103-degree day, police said.
Charged with first-degree murder are the child’s cousin, Samantha Allen, and her husband, John Allen, both 23. They were jailed on $1 million bail. The child’s grandmother, Judith Deal, 72, and her aunt and legal guardian, Cynthia Stolzman, 44, were charged with kidnapping and child abuse.
The four frequently locked the child in the airtight 14- by 31-inch footlocker, forced her to eat dog feces and beat her with a wooden paddle the family called a “butt buster,” police allege.

Although it very seldom happens, I am currently speechless.
Although the four of us white siblings sometimes had unkind words for each other none of us ever reached for a knife...or a baseball bat.But then we were 3 boys and a baby sister who was the Queen of the household.And you don't pull a knife on royalty! :-)
Those two sistas may have the same surname but, based on physical features, it’s doubtful they have the same daddy; just as the little half-brother they murdered didn’t.
I hope they rot in prison.
Last night, my husband and I were discussing what a civilizing influence work has on people. When you have to work for a living, you can’t afford to be a jerk. One of the many downsides of the welfare state is that multiple generations have lost the ability to solve conflicts in a civil way. Before you know it, we have feral youths committing assaults over cupcakes or murdering for tennis shoes.
Negative. I have very, very intimate knowledge of that area, as I used to be a beat cop there. It ain’t, whitey’s fault, I can assure you of that.

we are our brothers keeper despite what liberals try and tell us. the reason for this happening is no one was looking out for this kid and no one questioned the morality of the person who was given guardianship. this is the action of a monster and all that the social worker and courts needed to do was react to the concern of the mother about possible abuse
There is no amount of money anyone could pay me to live in Atlanta. I live in Massachusetts and can't wait to get out of here. But ATL? Fuggedaboutit.
