Hey Paul- I’ve got a better solution, guaranteed to produce an immediate end to the shutdown- start emptying the prisons of about 100,000 per day, and deport the prisoners to Mexico, Cuba, Nicaragua, Guyana and if they are really bad guys, send them to Iran or Gitmo. Don’t make a bit of difference where the prisoners claim to be from, deport them, and make sure that ALL illegals are included.
Rand is such a wild card. He’s 100% on board and a asset one minute and will kneecap you two minutes later.

If Trump caves to the Dems on DACA, it’s a big loss. If Schumer caves, he loses nothing. He just fights another day, and can claim the high ground “for the people I had to sacrfice” he can wail, “but we’ll stiull fight!”
Notice that Trump talks about winning, Democrats never do. They talk about fighting. That’s because the fight is their end goal, not the win. If they ever won their battles, they’d lose their reason to exist.
This is not close to a “solution”.

if rand paul had his way, all illegal aliens (probably closer to 30+ million or more) would become citizens - which would fit the open borders viewpoint of libertarians which he believs in. this would effectively make it impossible for republicans to win further offices.
