Dems have already rejected Paul’s idea. Democrats will fold, Trump knows it, Schumer knows it and here’s why.
If Trump caves to the Dems on DACA, it’s a big loss. If Schumer caves, he loses nothing. He just fights another day, and can claim the high ground “for the people I had to sacrfice” he can wail, “but we’ll stiull fight!”
Notice that Trump talks about winning, Democrats never do. They talk about fighting. That’s because the fight is their end goal, not the win. If they ever won their battles, they’d lose their reason to exist.
ie Paul is just playing his part here showing the Democrats up as obstructionists. He's talking about the funding bill here not immigration.
...which is the most concise definition of a bureaucrat that I know. Democrats nowadays are first and foremost bureaucrats (and champions of bureaucracy). What saddens me is that the FBI and the intel community has taken on that bureaucratic character as well. It's all being exposed because of Trump, and it is hideous.
