Schiff knows that the voters in the rest of the country are not as ignorant as his voters in CA. That’s why he will fight to keep this material secret.
Hate to say it but the mood in this country today is reminiscent of the emotions Americans were experiencing from 1840 through 1860 or Roman citizens felt just prior to the overthrow of the Republic. There no longer exists a common social consensus or commonly held values. Suspect that there soon will be blood.

Clearly the lack of leaks makes this truly damaging to dems.
Apparently, Democrats could argue that it would be illegal to release “underlying materials,” and try to stop any release from happening at all. That’s probably what Schiff is wanting: to complicate the issue and bar any release.
