California Attorney General Xavier Becerra (D) says his office will prosecute employers who cooperate with federal immigration officials to deport criminal illegal aliens from the United States.
In a press conference on Thursday, the pro-open borders attorney general warned California employers of new state laws that barred businesses from providing information on illegal aliens to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency that would aid in deportations.
Becerra said, according to NTK Network:
There are new laws in place in California now in 2018 with the advent of 2018. I mentioned two of them specifically, AB 450 and SB 54. AB 450 in particular deals with the workplace in particular and how we go about treating the information about the workplace and employees at the workplace by employers. What were trying to make sure is that employers are aware that in 2018, there is a new law in place.
We will prosecute those who violate [California] law.

I hope they follow the letter of the law:
8 U.S. Code § 1324
(A) Any person who
(iii) knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States in violation of law, conceals, harbors, or shields from detection, or attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection, such alien in any place, including any building or any means of transportation;
(B) A person who violates subparagraph (A) shall, for each alien in respect to whom such a violation occurs
(iv) in the case of a violation of subparagraph (A)(i), (ii), (iii), (iv), or (v) resulting in the death of any person, be punished by death or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, fined under title 18, or both
So in short, if any illegal alien protected by the AG of CA kills someone, the AG can be punished by death or imprisonment.
The entire state of California is acting like a Banana Republic.
That rat-bastard needs to be arrested and thrown in jail with MS13 gang members.
That is what the cops have been doing in CA for a long time. had the guy that hit him been a citizen with no insurance he’d be headed to jail.
I am so livid Reading this!!! These scumbags in power need to be arrested!
He claimed he was going at that very moment to purchase insurance LOL
No.. it’s not acting like one..
it IS one.
Round up his illegal relatives and deport them.
The AG can’t and won’t.
It’s an empty bluff.
At some point, and it seems to be getting closer, the federal government should take over the California government under Article IV, section 4: "The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government ...."
Yup, a whole bunch of us FReepers live in CA and we want to see the Feds support the Rule of Law and arrest these pricks... starting with Governor Jerry Brown!
Time for US Marshals.
Rebellion? Time for General Sherman.
“It would make a fine statement to have this person arrested.”
A better statement would be for the businesses to flee the madness that is CA, and seek friendlier areas.
Yep. In the words of Harry Truman, "the son-of-a-bitch is no good."
When Obama was President, the Dems said that immigration enforcement was a federal responsibility. Now that the Republicans are in power they say the EXACT opposite!
And what’s worse, is no one has called them on it!
Isn’t federal law superior to state law? And the Supreme Court has ruled in the past that state do not have the right to make separate immigration laws.
Sounds like California is going to be sued by the Feds (if AG Sessions can get his head out of his backside, that is).
