The states top cop issued a warning to California employers Thursday that businesses face legal repercussions, including fines up to $10,000, if they assist federal immigration authorities with a potential widespread immigration crackdown.
Its important, given these rumors that are out there, to let people know more specifically today, employers that if they voluntarily start giving up information about their employees or access to their employees in ways that contradict our new California laws, they subject themselves to actions by my office, state Attorney General Xavier Becerra said at a news conference. We will prosecute those who violate the law.
Becerras warning comes as fears spread of mass workplace raids following reports that immigration agents plan to target Northern California communities for deportations due in part to the states sanctuary law, which seeks to restrict local law enforcement agencies ability to cooperate with immigration authorities.

Good thing he’s not a poker player, because his bluffs are as weak as an anemic kitten.
They will prosecute employers?
The feds should be prosecuting employers for colluding with illegals.
When do we acknowledge that California is in rebellion?
Punishing Americans for obeying the law? The democrat party has flushed itself down the toilet in more ways than just this example.
John and Ken running clip of the criminal Cal AG AB 450 prohibits employers from sharing employee information with any one including ICE. I guess that goes for local police.
So now ICE will scan license plates in the parking lot and on the street nearby.
ICE flying in extra agents from around country
abetting crime is criminal conduct
this Californication AG needs to be placed under arrest and prosecuted
That would be illegal! Kalifornia legislators and local elected officials need to be jailed!
He is quoting from the sanctuary laws that were passed by the legislature and signed by the goner. Arrest him but them go over to the capitol and round up all the democrats and messiah Brown.
1957 the then Governor of Arkansas block the admission of black students to a all white school. Eisenhower sent in the 101st Abn Division.
I wonder what Governor Brown would do if the 101st showed up on his doorstep?
Not rebellion, reconquista.
What’s next...
“We are confiscating all guns and ammo and if you tell the Feds we will lock you up!”
Send in 5-10k National Guard.
they are using ICE agents from around the country. This is dangerous to ICE and the people who live near any raid. The state and city officials have regularly put public safety behind protecting illegals. you can bet most street cops hate what is going on that they can’t cooperate with ICE as they have done with ICE, the FBI, and DEA in the past. When an ICE agent gets killed look for Cal officials to say “we told you so.”
I support the guard to ensure public and officer safety.
That AG should be arrested on federal charges.
Aside from the general craziness of this law, this provision is a clear violation of the 1st amendment.
This Becerra guy is seriously a piece of dog shit. Hey you little fool, Fed law trumps state law...especially when it comes to immigration and the safety of the people.
Go ahead, arrest employers (or try to) and see how far you get. I think Mr. Trump has had enough your puto little ass and that pinhead governor of ours.
What has happened to my state? God save us!
And then drawn and quartered.
[To be hanged, drawn and quartered was from 1352 a statutory penalty in England for men convicted of high treason, although the ritual was first recorded during the reign of King Henry III. Wikipedia]
