So many republicans know only one way to legislate and govern; crouched down low and by using soft whispers.
Many spend their career paralyzed in dread of the democrats.
If the demoncraps refuse to go along with the GOP, it's still the GOP's fault.

I don’t recall Republicans ever paying a price because of a government shut down; however, I have seen them pay a price for declining to stand up and fight for the values that they were elected to stand up and fight for.
The Republicans are afraid of everything, except their base. Which is why they could care less what their bases says.

When will they learn that Democrats and their liberal muscle, the corrupt MSM, need to be punched in the nose! As a previous poster noted, Trump has shown the successful path. Use it! Your years, no decades, of cowering in the corner have not proven successful -- at all. Timidity begets timidity. Courage and strength begets courage and strength.
The game is always the same, the Democrats always set the terms of any debate or battle, and then demand that everyone must submit to them in order to prove they are worthy. Nonsense! Democrats are not the moral arbiters and they need to be knocked off their self-assumed perches.
Start with the effing IRS, EPA, and any number of “government” agencies. Most are parasites that hate America anyway.
Exactly why Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell will cave and hand Democrats everything they demand. Everything.
Unlike Democrat presidents, Trump will not close the National Mall or any national parks to punish the public. It will be the Democrats shutting down NON ESSENTIAL government spending on behalf of illegal aliens. The Democrats will have some explaining to do.
