"You guys know what this represents? Maybe it's the calm before the storm," President Donald Trump told reporters ominously as he posed with military commanders and their spouses in October 2017.
Since then "The Storm", partly in reference to this moment, has taken on life as a conspiracy theory wrapped up in conspiracy theories on pro-Trump message boards on online forums.
The Storm boils down to the idea that the US president is working to wipe out the effects of globalisation, a concept much hated by his supporters. To achieve this, he will apparently dismantle the 'deep state'.
This widely discredited conspiracy theory suggests that the US government is secretly run by a cabal of officials and elite members of finance and industry in a way that negates democracy.
The term has also been used to describe the leadership in Turkey and Russia. On top of this, every move Trump makes is a victory for The Storm - regardless of how it appears or is reported.
How do they know this? Because they are tipped off by a user known as QAnonymous, or QAnon, whose name references Q: the highest level of security clearance in the US.
They believe that this Q figure, who first posted on 4Chan on 28 October, has taken to message boards like 4Chan and 8Chan - widely regarded as the Wild West of the internet - to share the top-secret goings on in the highest reaches of power.
The topics discussed include Pizzagate. This saw websites falsely spreading [yeah, right] the rumour that the Democractic Party was running a child trafficking ring in the basement of the Comet Ping Pong fast food restaurant in Washington DC - culminating in a gunman opening fire there in November 2016.

It seems to me that an individual now posting in total anonymity would be more specific with his messages rather than posting cryptic crap that allows his followers to interpret them as they wish........

Forget Gitmo; it’s too nice. Alcatraz is just sitting there waiting for the pitter patter of criminal feet. Lock up everyone there and continue the tours. It would be fun to walk through and see Hillary behind bars. Everyone could point and laugh.

More interesting, if my impression is correct, is that Q Anon seems to be getting more open attention now from the disloyal opposition.

April LaJune i unsubscribed to her. She gets her information from highly questionable places and insists it's good information. Which is what she did with the marines landing in Langley CIA building. I looked at her sources all hear say. "i heard helicopters fly over they where heading in the direction of Langley." That doesn't equal to them landing there but that is what the article claimed.
Finding level headed people looking at this is nearly impossible. Which in itself is kinda of funny.
It's like looking into the Las Vegas shooting. Clearly the FBI is covering things up but people come up with the wildest ideas on what might be taking place.

I guess I might be a party pooper, but can anyone name one (1) thing that Q has predicted in advance, with enough specificity to have actually prepared anyone for an actual event?
I realize it’s fun to look back after events actually happened, to try to determine if Q might have left you a clue to something that did happen, but if he wasn’t able to ever actually tip you off of anything specific in advance, is the post-analysis of his tweets really of any value?

I have just lately been reading some of this Qanon, and I have to say that it’s confusing. Perhaps I’m just not used to following this type of posting or don’t really know how to read it, but it often leaves me scratching my head.
Having said that, I hope and pray every day that the curtain is pulled way back. All the way back to the Clintons and their criminal activity in Arkansas.
It's not done to create mystery. He is communicating with individuals on his team, much like George Webb does.
