What is The Storm? Conspiracy theory that mysterious White House official QAnon is leaking secrets
ibtimes.co.uk ^ | Kashmira Gander

"You guys know what this represents? Maybe it's the calm before the storm," President Donald Trump told reporters ominously as he posed with military commanders and their spouses in October 2017.

Since then "The Storm", partly in reference to this moment, has taken on life as a conspiracy theory wrapped up in conspiracy theories on pro-Trump message boards on online forums.

The Storm boils down to the idea that the US president is working to wipe out the effects of globalisation, a concept much hated by his supporters. To achieve this, he will apparently dismantle the 'deep state'.

This widely discredited conspiracy theory suggests that the US government is secretly run by a cabal of officials and elite members of finance and industry in a way that negates democracy.

The term has also been used to describe the leadership in Turkey and Russia. On top of this, every move Trump makes is a victory for The Storm - regardless of how it appears or is reported.

How do they know this? Because they are tipped off by a user known as QAnonymous, or QAnon, whose name references Q: the highest level of security clearance in the US.

They believe that this Q figure, who first posted on 4Chan on 28 October, has taken to message boards like 4Chan and 8Chan - widely regarded as the Wild West of the internet - to share the top-secret goings on in the highest reaches of power.

The topics discussed include Pizzagate. This saw websites falsely spreading [yeah, right] the rumour that the Democractic Party was running a child trafficking ring in the basement of the Comet Ping Pong fast food restaurant in Washington DC - culminating in a gunman opening fire there in November 2016.

“Q`s last post promised something big on Monday.
Well,we`re waiting ...”

One problem I do have with Q is that the whole thing started off with us being told that Mueller and his team were the good guys who were secretly going after all the kinds of corruption that we want someone to go after. I don’t buy that one at all. Yet we have been told by Q that disinformation is necessary. So in a sense we never know if something Q says is going to happen or if it is disinformation. Yet if Q’s words don’t pan out often enough then there won’t be much reason to listen to him. No matter who he is.

If you watch the video of when Trump says this, he clearly draws the letter Q with his finger.

Wow it sure looked like he did....that's amazing.

Thanks for sharing that, and it did review it, some parts twice. I didn’t see any proof that Q can actually predict the future with any specificity. The goal appeared to be to show the Q is working in conjunction with Trump, which I don’t think it proved either.

Look at the main segment starting at 6:21. The main argument is that a number in brackets such as [15] is referring to posts separated in time. However in the example specifically cited - the only posts that are 15 minutes apart in time - are marked at 8:21 and 8:36. But the post with the [15] in it is marked at 9:05 which is clearly AFTER the two posts that are 15 minutes apart. Who couldn’t have done that?

He also tries to refer to the president’s misspelling of the word “consensual” which should have been “consequential.” Consensual is in the 8:21 post, Consequential is a 9:23 post. The post he points that out the word should have been was 9:09, and includes the number 15 again. But 9:09 isn’t 15 minutes apart from 8:21, or 15 minutes apart from 9:23, and the difference between 8:21 and 9:23 is 63! And it was obvious the misspelling was the word consequential, to begin with.

So I’m afraid that people are just seeing this and believing it without even double checking it. My first time through it appeared wrong, but I still double checked it. Still wrong.

Source for hijack squawks? over 600 flights were cancelled or recalled from the flightline due to weather yesterday. Weather. Not hijacking.

Source for American E3a’s deployed? The only recent deployments were by India to coordinate airsupport cover for some India official la-de-da meeting in some forsaken area.

As an aside, it would not be unusual or be of any particular significance for 3As to be deployed in support of ‘shift-change’ for tactical forces currently on station anywhere in the world. Good training run and more fun than Keflavik. And, they do not have a history of deployment, much less in pairs, for something simple like a hijack.

Code assinments:
SQUAWK 7500 is a hijacking. Sometimes pilots will use this to turn around the plane for disruptive passengers.

For conspiracy theorists to succeed, they deal in half truths and generalizations dressed up as specifics—then they point to the prediction and count it as a hit.

First, how big do you think Gitmo is?

Second, why would they send citizens out of the country?

The whole send them to Gitmo thing is a nice thought—but wholly unconstitutional and impractical.

There are so many better ways to communicate. And who is “his team?”

Do they use a code book, or a book cipher?

I would love for this to be true, but I am skeptical.
