Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen confirmed Tuesday that her department has asked federal prosecutors to see if they can lodge criminal charges against sanctuary cities that refuse to cooperate with federal deportation efforts.
The Department of Justice is reviewing what avenues may be available, Ms. Nielsen told the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Her confirmation came after Californias new sanctuary law went into effect Jan. 1, severely restricting cooperation the state or any of its localities could offer.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Tom Homan says those policies put his officers and local communities at more risk because they have to arrest illegal immigrants out in the community.
Mr. Homan told The Washington Times last July that he wanted to see local officials charged as complicit in human smuggling if they shielded illegal immigrants through sanctuary policies.

I know. The point is why do foreign countries own our ports?

Huge, radioactive buzzword that MUST be used in order to gain new support: human trafficking / smuggling. Illegal alien isn’t good enough anymore - use the buzzwords the UN uses, even though they just pay lip service.

The ports themselves are owned by state and local governments. Even if the port is ‘owned’ by a foreign entity, that can be remedied by the stroke of a pen................

Let's say the Feds arrested the mayors of New York City and Chicago. Both cities have tens of thousands of black and Hispanic gang members, heavily armed. While the snowflakes and the limousine liberals are disarmed, they are not. Neither is Antifa; they are training with military style weapons. In an armed conflict, the U.S. military would win. However, many of our military assets are overseas, and Army and Marine units would have to be sent stateside. Unlike the Vietnam era, when we had numerous urban riots in the cities, the combat units are fewer in number. Additionally, the ensuing chaos would paralyze the financial markets, as well as the port of New York, as well as Chicago, the rail and air hub for much of America.

I think you have a criminal act by that scofflaw . I think she should be arrested, indicted, tried , convicted and harshly punished for multiple felonies. There is no excuse not to prosecute her.
