I’m hoping this whole shutdown thing doesn’t completely drown out the news of that memo. I don’t know why someone just doesn’t release it to the public.

Honestly, they can’t be charged (think DiFi). Just pop a Sudafed, release the information, and apologize for being on cold medication. Voila - easy peasy, lemon squeezy. If Di can do it and nothing happens, so can someone else.

We have been trying to get to BIL’s home, 2 hrs. away, as his birthday was day before hubby’s.

Gladly cancelled going last Thur. as that was the day we got HEAT, today had to cancel as a storm is rolling in and as much as we need it I won’t complain in having to change plans.

Years ago when we were young and stupid, a blizzard wouldn’t have stopped us but we like to think, being older, we are wiser and avoiding slipping and sliding or worse is a good thing.

If the government goes into a prolonged shutdown, it's unclear if there could even be a traditional State of the Union because many of the people who set it up would be furloughed.

We all know they're otherwise going to get paid for doing nothing. The White House could hire some "scabs" to set it up. That would really p!$$-off the RATs.

Alternately, he could tweet out that his SOTU address transcript is posted in its entirety on the WH website.
