If you choose that when you're married to someone with "autism spectrum," it's mighty hard for a long time. They don't even remember what they said, even if you wrote it down and dated it at the time. (Contemporaneous file notes ... a blessing and a curse.)
Oh fooey, how long will it keep on being that, arrant lefty, if overrun?
It’s for those who want to be Americans, not just for those who come to live off of the bennies.
Get rid of welfare, then I say let anybody in, because they’ll come knowing they’ll have to work hard to make it. Until then, we need to vet who gets in.
Dont think so. Some reporters nibbled around the edges. Most of them ended up committing suicide.
With some Cruz butt hurt thrown in! Boy that stuff runs deep!
This a question of philosophy. I agree, philosophically. However, if you’re just looking at data, educated immigrants are an economic gain, while uneducated ones are an economic loss.
However, change the algorithm. If there were less public expenditure, the values would change. Different labor laws, values change. Data are just a snapshot, not a prophecy.
It’s for the people we decide to accept.
Offhand, I would expect your level of intelligence would have you excluded if our immigration policies were based on what’s best for America.
You’re damn lucky you’re already here.
Tell me about it. I never thought a Freeper would sound so much like Nancy Pelosi. Talk about asking to be hanged by his own blurts.
The comment about welfare is well taken. If we aren’t utterly free enterprise and private charity... A city on a hill we ain’t!
And one of the MOST racist people is usually the person interviewing the President, with each question revolving around race and the projection of their own racism onto our President.
JoMa
Uh...they could be. I guess it depends on how you define value.
If your - and my - ancestors existed to be an economic gain we’d all be farming 2 acres in Belfast.
Immigrants belong in America regardless of where they come from. This is the promised land. Anyone can come here and the generations beyond them will achieve the thinfs thar I habe oe Ben Carson has.
Shutting people out because their country is a bit poor is bullshit.
Trump, the man of moxie.
In fact the Cruz butt nevertrumphurters are like the tonya harding camp of politics. They want to whack Trump. Apologies in advance i think i spent too much time on the nancy karrigan thread.
Socialism + Unfettered Immigration = National Suicide
thanks. Ive spent near 10 years in the US Military but I’m glad you think i don’t belong.
It warms the heart almost like you’re a turd and I’m right.
Hey, it was 10 acres in Londonderry!
I largely agree with you. That’s why I’m drawing the distinction between an observation of current economic factors and a general value judgment.
I do have to disagree with “a bit poor,” though. We’re talking about “Can’t believe it unless you’ve been there,” poor. Russ thought Turkey was incredibly poor, yet it’s a prosperous country for the area. St. Luke’s mission in the Dominican Republic serves people who illegally crossed the border from Haiti because being illegals doing slave labor in the DR was better than Haiti.
*the things that Ben Carson has
Okay you are obviously being comic relief.
Well, ha ha ha. You win the jester cap.
By the way this oughtn’t to have squat to do about race. I’ve been meeting with Christian free enterprise black people up close and personal recently. Black rednecks they are. And they respect me better than a lot of lily white folks do.
If a country imports people who are incapable of freedom...or even civilization...then that country will become like those people.
Haiti is not an open sewer because of the land, air, water or natural disadvantages. It is an open sewer because of the people that inhabit Haiti, and empower their government. They are people that will not improve this country or advance it in any way. They are a people who will drag it down to what they know and are comfortable with...just like Somalians and those that have inhabited other similar open sewers. A country is determined by its people. So yes, the odds that someone from Norway will become an asset for this country than someone from Haiti or Somalia.
The countries that Trump was alluding to are a tad more than “a bit poor”.
