Republican Rep. Mia Love deplored President Donald Trump for reportedly criticizing immigrants coming to the United States from what he called "shithole countries."
"I can't defend the indefensible. You have to understand that there are countries that struggle out there. But their people, their people are good people and they're part of us. We're Americans," Love, who represents Utah and is the first Haitian-American elected to Congress, said on CNN's "State of the Union."
Referring to immigrants from African countries, Trump asked lawmakers during an Oval Office meeting on immigration reform, "Why do we want all these people from 'shithole countries' coming here?" a source briefed on the meeting told CNN.
The President has denied making the comment.
"The language used by me at the DACA meeting was tough, but this was not the language used. What was really tough was the outlandish proposal made - a big setback for DACA!" Trump tweeted on Friday.
Love, whose parents immigrated from Haiti, told "State of the Union" that she thinks the President's comments were racist.
"I think they were, yes. I think they were unfortunate. I don't know if they were taken -- I wasn't in the room. I know the comments were made. I don't know in which context they were made," she said. "I'm looking forward to finding out what happened, but more importantly, I'm looking forward to fixing the problem."

That is my thought. Until I hear a Republican say some of these alarmist words on video, I don’t believe anything the leftist papers and broadcasters say. They are doing their best to provide wedges and to get us to attack each other.
I really hope she didn’t come anywhere close to buying into this Turbin Durbin lying nonsense.
Even Fox News keeps acting like it is a fact that Trump said that word. Not even a disclaimer that he may not have said it.

Exactly, you cannot sate the thirst of someone so thirsty for blood. It’s so amazing how the wealthy Romans were so oblivious to their own demise, until it was too late, and you only see the same stupidity today in the new Western World. It’s even worse when you realize that the same enemies will get close to their victims by being hired as mercenaries or even bodyguards.
That is incredibly frustrating. To think that millions of people get their news from these networks.

The essence of bias is that one is quick to see certain traits in certain people, when the traits in question are generally evident. Who does not “scheme” when held outside of society to find a way into it? In some people it’s called resourcefulness, or being a good businessman. When I look at Trump sometimes I am so glad he’s not Jewish because his traits, in a Jew, would trigger such robustly biased conclusions.

Sounds like people aren't granting her the same courtesy of assuming that her statement had nothing to do with race either.
That statement reflects much more unfavorably on Love than Trump.

Where else on the planet do you think will have a better chance than the USA? If there was a place that had a better chance at staying a great place it’s enough of a secret that none of us hear have heard the scoop.
