Sen. David Perdue, R-Ga., repeatedly said Sunday morning that reports President Trump referred to Haiti and various African countries as "shithole countries" during a meeting with senators this week on immigration was a "gross misrepresentation."
Perdue use the phrase "gross misrepresentation" several times during an interview with ABC's "This Week."

“He could have said Haiti kicked whitey out over a 100 years ago.”
No, they did it 200 years ago....because these people were slaves and forced to work in appalling conditions to furnish France with sugarcane.
So I’m GLAD he didn’t say that.
“If I were Trump I would never have a meeting Durbin again. But if forced to meet with him Id record the entire meeting. And Id have my personal attorney with me.”
Durbin needs to be subjected to the Pence Rule.
Yet, every liberal out there acts on it like it is fact.
and the Dems/MSM are happy to say shithole countries over and over again
I bet that word and much worse is used in virtually every executive office in the country and the western world. Large and small. Why are we dwelling on the faux outrage of the day?
I thought before he and Cotton were saying that they didn’t recall Trump making the comment. He recalls now?
You probably aren't old enough to remember the kind of jack that came out of Lyndon Baines Johnson's mouth whenever he held meetings in the oval office in the early '60s. Repubs don't have a monopoly on use of raw language. Obama was a flagrant foul-mouth and there are tapes of him though no one talks about it for fear of being called "racist". That kind of speech has been part of American political discourse at the highest levels for a very long time.
I don’t doubt he used that term or a version. He was dressing the down the idiots in the room that brought him a shithole ‘gang of eight’ bill. 1.6 billion for border security. I have no doubt he blew up at this band of idiots. I also don’t doubt that he reiterated his key position that we need to change our immigration policy from open borders and mass immigration from third worlders to a policy of focusing on merit. I do not believe he was calling everyone from these shit countries worthless as is accused. That’s the enemy trying to extend the worthless ‘racist’ charge.
If anything he will use this situation to learn more about the swamp-monsters and adjust in kind - just as he has been for the past 24 months.
Isn’t it possible that if President Trump used the word ‘sh*thole’ he was simply addressing Senator Durbin?
Or maybe the President used the word ‘chic-hole’ which seems to be the same but directly refers to Chicago?
I call him “sh-hole Durbin”
I have always said that the president should ALWAYS have any meeting recorded for moments just like this. His stroke of genius to have the meetings televised prevented the RATS from scurrying to a bank of microphones after the meeting to immediately deny what they agreed to in the preceding meeting.
This is the sort of thing that is not done though, and it is the likely reason that he was given the Heave Ho. Franken was probably the most obvious Ass ever elected to the Senate in my lifetime. Durban is a more experienced Ass, but he is marginally stealthy about his Assness.
Trump is also not one to adhere to such standards, but Trump is actually likable where Franken was an annoying ignorant POS.
This is what Minnesota offers America. Funerals that turn into rallies, Jesse Ventura, and great weather.
Let's have a Super Bowl there.
I vote for Defecation-hole Durbin.
Leftists and RINO’s are twisting President Trump’s words to mean what THEY want them to mean. Just like they did in Charlottesville.
“I Tweeted POTUS and recommended that he refer to Durbin, as
Lyin Dick Durbin. I urge everyone to Tweet Trump to stick Lyin Dick with this nickname”
Rush has referred to him as “Turbin Durbin”.
Normally, you would be correct; however, the level of professionalism depends on the context and the audience both in and out of the meeting.
Trump no doubt believes, after working with such matters 24/7, that hosting an adversarial meeting with such duplicitous, leftist-supporting, Obama acolytes (read lying, anti-American ideologues) is very similar to being in a locker room or on a construction site.
As for the second audience: there is probably no need to remind you the voters believed on the state of affairs after Clinton, Bush and Obama, that it was time to select a street fighter rather than a reasonable gentleman.
