Citing a strain on overwhelmed health resources, Governor Kay Ivey declared an official State of Emergency in Alabama on Thursday due to the rapidly spreading flu epidemic.
WHEREAS the State Health Officer has reported that an outbreak of the influenza virus has occurred in the State of Alabama; and
WHEREAS this outbreak poses a high probability of widespread exposure to an infectious agent that poses significant risk of substantial harm to a large number of people in the affected population; and
WHEREAS the health care facilities and personnel of the State are overwhelmed by the number of ill patients and taxed to such an extent that care of patients may now no longer be provided in the traditional, normal, and customary manner nor is the utilization of traditional, normal, and customary standards of care possible.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Kay Ivey, Governor of the State of Alabama, pursuant to relevant provisions of the Alabama Emergency Management Act of 1955, section 31-9-1 et seq., Code of Alabama (1975), on the recommendation of the State Health Officer, do hereby declare that a State Public Health Emergency exists in the State of Alabama. I direct the appropriate state agencies to exercise their statutory and regulatory authority to assist the communities and entities affected. I also direct the Alabama Department of Public Health and Alabama Emergency Management Agency to seek federal assistance as may be available.

I used key words that would point people to the right things, if they do cursorary searches. I don’t think it is right to hawk brands on FR. But they are not hard to find.
Ok, it’s new age nonsense. Have a nice life.
I don’t think FR should be a market place. Doing basic searches will give you a ton of stuff. I’d also connect with a certain internationally recognized nutritionist from Missouri.
I’m a big believer of the meats, such as beef, fish, or chicken, and root vegetables and fruits.
Know your sources too. If one looks, you can usually find local growers.
My father showed me a row of tombstones when I was a kid. Ages ranged from a few months up sixty something. They were from three generations
I take plenty of vitamins.
My Mom had the 1918 flu. She recovered then caught the Asian flu on a trip to Hawaii, she lost her sense of smell for a couple of months. She refused to take the shots, she lived to be almost 103.
Just don’t let anyone around the baby for a couple of months until this blows over.
I’d rather the inconvenience to the family, than have the baby exposed.
I'm a nurse in a hospital and we have lots of flu patients and even though you wear those little masks and wash your hands constantly with alcohol you're still at risk....
Tamiflu is not the end all ...it will shorten the flu by about 24 hrs....best to rest, drink plenty of liquids, and aspirin or Tylenol for HA or fever...REST is key....
Heard that in my very first anatomy class. The ER is all about getting pH back into range.
We’ve had it at our house for a week.
Live in North East Los Angeles.
Bull crap. Prove your stupid statement. Show us medical professionals your peerless proof.
Vaccines save lives, their not perfect, but they do work. Or maybe you’d love to go back to Smallpox ravaging the world? Just to pick one disease.
This year’s flu vax is only 10% effective, according to the CDC, so basically useless. Every year is different. At best flu vax is about 70% effective, that’s considered a successful one.
My g g grandfather and his wife and four of their kids died in the 1918 flu epidemic. All within a few days of each other.
My grandmother lost her grandfather and her 2 year old brother to it. She was a newborn at the time.
Sorry to hear that.
Hope things are looking better.
I have a family member that has been fighting it for a couple of weeks now.
I was told troops from WWI brought it back from Europe.
Who would that (nutritionist) be?
That map is scary. I believe it’s going to get worse. My wife’s co-pay for Tamiflu was $85. Lots of people won’t be able to afford it. And the pharmacist said they’re running low on supplies.
wow you had a guardian angel with you. That
was frightening just reading it.
I am 76 and hubby is 79. We aren’t doing well
with just the cough and cold. Hope we don’t
get what you had!

I don't use Essential Oils myself but I have several friends who swear by them.
