FULL TITLE:Shameless: Hundreds of CEOs Demand Dreamer Amnesty Shortly After Promising Tax Cuts Will Help American Workers
Corporate America is not leaving it to lawmakers and the White House to reach a deal to determine the fate of millions of illegal foreign workers whose temporary permission to work in the U.S. is set to expire early this year.
Instead, more than 100 corporate leaders are demanding immediate and permanent amnesty for millions of so-called Dreamers.
Just days after President Donald Trump hosted Democratic and Republican lawmakers at the White House to discuss legislation that would authorize funding for a border wall and end chain migration while also providing legal protections for around 700,000 foreign workers under the Obama administrations Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, or DACA, corporate leaders have signed a letter urging lawmakers to enact a dramatically expanded amnesty program.
Although the letter cites the potential end of DACA as a reason for urgent action, it calls for a much broader amnesty program that would include all the so-called Dreamers, a broader group than the 700,000 DACA recipients. By most estimates, the broader group would include millions of illegal foreign workers rather than hundreds of thousands.

DACA is idiot virtue signaling, virtue signaling till now had no social cost well folks them days is done.
Remember that amnesty for illegal aliens is also amnesty for their employers.
They have been breaking the laws, too.
GREED
___hole CEOs!
Tell the corporatists and their whores in Congress that for once we are going to do what is in the best interests of the majority of US citizens instead.
Are they virtue-signaling only--and aren't actually employing such people, but trying to avoid being targeted, since they undoubtedly have a mistress or two?
Or are they actually dependent on illegals to get through the business day?
Either way, their statement is an unshakable endorsement for rousting the last illegal immigrant and anchor baby of whatever age out of the country immediately.
Odd how virtue signaling consists mainly of saying you hate something.............
Shameless is right.
Clearly the swam extends beyond the Beltway.
And the cheap labor express panics...
swam = swamp
Anyone seen a list of the 100 CEOs?
100+ apparently...
Yep you are right, and that hate is their weak spot, too bad conservatives never ever take advantage of such weaknesses.
We *might* permit CEOs to hire a few people who were *born* in Norway, Iceland, Finland, Sweden and a few other countries in the same part of the world, if those people are already married to people *born* in the U.S.A.
How do you like them apples?
Trump's election has clarified just how many enemies normal Americans have. It is going to be a daunting task to successfully rid ourselves of them.
Mayme an ETF of companies demanding Dreamer Amnesty...called DACA..... would be a good choice for put options.
You can run a 5 person tech start-up, with zero profits, with most of your cash from Kickstarter, and be a “CEO”.
I’ll explain what’s going on here: These CEOs have hired thousands of the “Dreamer” type foreign workers to come here and work on important projects because they’re the pick of the litter, not poor unskilled refugees from shithole countries or relatives who came on chain migration. I’m describing a minority but they’re they ones you will hear touted and blown all out of proportion in the ensuing discussions. Because they are skilled workers on important projects, if they were deported those projects would suffer and fall behind schedule and the costs would inflate if they had to hire Americans to replace them to do the work. So these CEOs are just worried about one thing: their bottom line and by derivation, their stock price and thus, their longevity as CEO.
They are not worred about the maids cleaning hotel rooms or ag workers or all the rest. They’ll always be able to hire enough of those people to keep their pools clean and grass trimmed.
