I’m happy that President Trump brought this problem to the forefront, yesterday. There is an excellent documentary on The World Toilet Crisis(by Vanguard?), that addresses this very issue from around 2012 when this article and 3 maps were put together. I guess Venezuela & Syria could be added to the dark red countries by now.

Rule of thumb: if you have to take your own toilet paper when you visit, it’s probably a ‘sh!thole’ country.
