California will hand over cash expropriated from hardworking taxpayers to drug dealers, provided they are black and have criminal records. Yes, Im serious:
Its all part of an effort in the Golden State to help more minorities become marijuana entrepreneurs. On New Years Day, California became the ninth state to legalize cannabis for recreational use, but officials are worried that not enough blacks will qualify for the permits needed to sell weed legally. To address this problem, Los Angeles, Oakland and other cities have created equity programs that offer no-interest loans and other perks to people who live in poor black neighborhoods and have been convicted of drug crimes.
Those unlucky enough not to be Persons of Politically Preferred Pigmentation will find it harder to get a permit to sell marijuana.
If youre a white applicant, you can improve your own chances of receiving a permit by incubating an equity [i.e., black] applicant, which means making him a 50% partner in the business or giving him floor space in your establishment, rent-free.
If this sort of tyrannical race-based lunacy sounds familiar, you could be thinking of South Africa under black rule.
The progressives who dreamed this up sold it as a way to compensate blacks, who have been disproportionately affected by the war on drugs.
Because this includes drugs laws, they are victims of the War on Drugs, and must be compensated at the expense of the law-abiding.
Coming next to California: free taxpayer money for black convicted thieves to assist them in their careers as wealth redistribution entrepreneurs.
Again we see that liberalism is not merely wrong; it is depraved.
This is wrong on so many levels, it becomes obvious why California’s leadership loves it.
Sounds like our leadership has been smoking the product night and day for years.
Several of my friends here in Fla. are transplanted Californians. Things just got to be too much for them.
About this story ... this sounds a little far-fetched even for ultra-liberal California. I’m not saying it’s false, I just want to see another couple sources before I accept it.
As the first managing editor I worked under said: “If a story sounds too good to be true, it probably is.”
I cannot imagine a worse idea, can anybody imagine the results that will come from this?!
Not to worry, each person has his home somewhere on "the curve".
And we can be sure where that home is for this new crop of "entrepreneurs".
Will the last sane person to leave California please make sure the nuthouse gates are locked?
“Those unlucky enough not to be Persons of Politically Preferred Pigmentation will find it harder to get a permit to sell marijuana. “
So.... it’s “black privilege” ?
Can’t say I’ve seen the s-word used so much on FR in one day in its unexpurgated version.
Schwag and skunkweed. Blacks are not known for their gourmet taste in cannabis. It will be like trying to buy a high performance auto part at walmart.
Save the megatonnage.
Detroit autonuked itself years ago without any fallout being released.
[This is fake news, right??]
I would certainly hope so. I’m afraid of answers these days that depend upon politicians; especially if they’re Democrats.
Next on the agenda.... convicted rapists paid to perform abortions.
The Onion can shut down now.
You may be on to something.
Lets compare:
Nevada, home to 749 nuclear explosions, full of hard working honest people.
California, no nuclear explosions, full of freaks Hollyweirdos and grifters...

Behind a paywall, but looks like the story’s legit...
Thanks for the link.
Mexifornia is completely nuts.
It’s a gangrenous growth that threatens the rest of the country.
The land is beautiful and productive, the parasites need to go.
