President Trump reportedly complained during a Thursday meeting with lawmakers about immigrants from “shithole” countries coming to America.
The Washington Post quoted Trump, based on a source who was in the meeting, saying:
“Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” The president was specifically referring to immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador and African countries and a proposal to restore protections to them.
The lawmakers in the meeting were Lindsey Graham and Dick Durbin. The Post notes:
Graham and Durbin thought they would be meeting with Trump alone and were surprised to find immigration hard-liners such as Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) and Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), at the meeting. The meeting was impromptu and came after phone calls this morning, Capitol Hill aides said. The administration is working on a bipartisan immigration deal which seeks to permanently implement DACA and establish robust border security. Protections for immigrants and the visa lottery will likely take a hit as part of the deal. The White House has indicated that a bipartisan deal has not been reached, but they are “hopeful” a deal will be brokered soon.
UPDATE: In a statement, the White House does not deny that the president said the above quote behind closed doors.

I’m not shocked by plain honest profanity-I use it to make a point, as do most I know-and that is what pres Trump did-I don’t recall hearing about a pres who did not talk that way, either-sometimes in public-they say even St. JFK did. And I think you have a great idea-send those people back to those s***hole countries to help bring education to everyone there-with money supplied by the UN and their own fatcats-we don’t need to waste another American dime on those corrupt places-it only funds more corruption-spend it on our own truly disadvantaged right here at home...
Exactly right, Somalia and Haiti are the way they are because of who lives there.
We would be wise to return to the quota system whereby Congress established a specific number of people who could apply for permanent residency for each continent. They could not enter the US until the process was complete and permanent visa granted.
A program for temporary visas designated for agricultural workers must require the temps return when jobs complete and no family accompany them. Perhaps holding portion of pay to be given to them in home country.
I worked overseas and lived overseas for many years in my oilfield days. Some of the countries were absolutely grand and a pleasure to work in and live in and have my son born in with great medical care.
However, many where Sh—holes, with Nigeria being at the top. They paid me a lot of money to work in Nigeria, a whole lot. They paid top dollar for this because it was a Sh—hole. I earned my money.
Trump should ask those who attended the meeting if they’d like the “shit-holers” living next door to them.
Man, Trump can really stir the chit with these clowns.

I can’t even begin to imagine what JFK, Lyndon Johnson, Bill Clinton, Richard Nixon, or most ANY other President, including BHO, called these same or other countries.
