Rep. Kevin Cramer, a North Dakota Republican, announced Thursday he will not challenge sitting Democratic Sen. Heidi Heitkamp in the Senate race this fall.
During an interview with KFYR radio, Cramer said he and his family decided the best decision was for him to just run again for his House seat. The move is seen as a blow to Republicans who hope to pick up the seat in the traditionally deep red state.

Cramer's announcement comes after Cramer told CNN last week that President Donald Trump was urging him to run for Senate.

Wrong Dakota.
I'm pretty sure any credible R candidate could expect to receive big bucks from "big oil", oil production equipment, and pipeline lobbies.
It’s easier for them to do nothing and point fingers, to hide their incompetence and laziness.
People need to step up. Pure and simple. Can’t complain about the problem if you’re not willing to step up and try to solve it.
For me, I work out of the country and somehow, much to my chagrin, ended up in, Hank Johnson’s district. So, I’m thinking the Conservative, White, pickup truck driving, proud gun owner, doesn’t stand much of a chance there.

A Lifetime of Service
Lynne Blankenbeker is an accomplished Nurse, Veteran, Legislator, and Attorney. She has dedicated herself to caring for members of the military, veterans and their families. A Captain in the Navy Reserves, Lynne has deployed three times in support of Operations in the Middle East. She has most recently served two active duty tours in DC; one at the Pentagon and one at the Defense Health Headquarters.
Upon graduation from nursing school, Lynne was initially commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant through Air Force ROTC. While serving on active duty, Lynne deployed to the Middle East in 1990 as an operating room and trauma flight nurse, in support of Operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield. At the conclusion of Desert Storm, Lynne became an inactive reservist while raising her daughter and working as a nurse. She again answered our nations call by joining the Navy Reserve Nurse Corps in 2000 and, following the terrorist attacks on 9/11, Lynne was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. Lynne is currently the commanding officer of the Navy Reserve Medical Unit assigned to Navy Medical Center San Diego.
In 2009, she ran for and won a special election for the New Hampshire House of Representatives, beating the former Mayor of Concord in a heavily Democrat district by 17 votes.
In the legislature she worked on veterans and public health issues in addition to playing a key role in balancing the states biennial budget. Lynne won re-election in 2010, but was unable to run again in 2012 due to being recalled to active duty in 2011 to Kandahar, Afghanistan. In 2012, she was selected by the New Hampshire Federation of Republican Women as their Woman of the Year, an award that she accepted remotely from Afghanistan.
Her maiden name appears to be Ferrari.
That is too rad.
We will have the court soon
6 conservative justices as RG, AK go away
Roe v Wade gone
National gay marriage gone
We must fight for the House
By the grace of God
Give the GOPe 60 seats and they will still step all over their own johnsons
Trust me
Because mitts wise is a pro abortion liberal who wants him to beat on Trump
Govt subsidy infects almost all agricultural pursuits
Farmers paid not to grow to keep prices higher artificially is the gist of it or subsidized in collapsing markets
Seed bank assistance too on the other side
I have kinfolks large in cotton and soybeans.....they used to get 50 bucks an acre not to plant
In farmers defense cotton etc prices jump around exponentially in given years and it’s sometimes tough as tough can be
Seed costs do not jump around as much nor do mechanical cotton pickers at 600-800k each
The bottom line is it’s increasingly impossible for American farmers to compete with cheaper foreign producers
Our tenedency to have the best yields is all keeps us going
Corporate farmers who pay stockholders rather than bank loans simply work better today
I believe and trust you big time.
This just in ... it looks like Cramer has changed his mind and will run against Heidkamp after all: https://www.sayanythingblog.com/entry/emineth-says-cramer-senate-race-withdraws-candidacy/
I couldn’t understand why he was hesitating on this to begin with. No reason for him not to upgrade to the Senate, given the weak Dem incumbent (he should’ve been the nominee in 2012 and freshman Rick Berg should’ve run for reelection to the House). Factoid: The GOP has not won this seat since Wild Bill Langer got his final victory in 1958. He died the following year and the Dems got the seat in 1960.
