So Reagan shouldn’t have been able to run for a second term?
To: SeekAndFind
He’s already soliciting funds - can’t see fit to urge him on as 80 is too damn old.

How did Arpaio win in the populous county for which he was sheriff? He didn't the last time.
To: wardaddy
I think Trump will endorse Arpaio He didn't learn anything from the last time he endorsed someone in a primary?

If you want to have ANY hope of getting Trump’s judges confirmed, the Reps MUST have the majority. Joe will lose big. Trump needs to tell him to retire.

“How did Arpaio win in the populous county for which he was sheriff? “
You mean Maricopa County, one of the most conservative in the state?
“Every Republican presidential candidate has carried Maricopa County since 1948. This includes the 1964 presidential run of native son Barry Goldwater, who would not have even carried his own state had it not been for a 21,000-vote margin in Maricopa County. It is currently the largest county in the country to vote Republican.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maricopa_County,_Arizona
In 2016, Democrat Paul Penzone beat him for Sheriff by a margin of 56-43. Four years earlier, Arpaio won with 51% of the vote. He can’t carry Maricopa, let alone the rest of the state!

You still do not grasp that you don't debate your opponent when you are 20 points ahead of him?
Why would anyone debate an opponent when they are 20 points ahead?

Stop making excuses for him. He blew it.
Moore didn't even debate Jones when that lead was in jeopardy. Even worse, he gave the most pathetic reason for refusing to debate Jones ... and his rationale for refusing to participate in a debate probably made a lot of people question whether he was even fit to serve as a small-town mayor, let alone a U.S. Senator.

National Review gearing up like they did against Moore Warning against something they will help happen
Yup. They are saying "Don't support that conservative guy, cause media people will unfairly savage him, because we will help them do it!"
Moore lost because of our side's backstabbing.
That said, I don't think Arpaio would win a general election in Arizona after the media is finished portraying him as a "racy-race McRacist!" They will take his efforts to interdict illegals, make it about race, then hammer him for being a "racist."
I think our best move here is to urge him to get out of this race.

Worse than that, another scumball who rides the military like McCain and votes and talks like a Dem will leave the base cold and elect a bisexual far left Democrat feminist to the seat. The GOP-e knows exactly what it is doing. Old Joe is Ross Perot here.

Stop making excuses for him. He blew it. Stop spreading lies. Moore didn't blow it, Richard Shelby, Jeff Flake, and Mitch McConnell did everything they could to throw it away.
Moore didn't even debate Jones when that lead was in jeopardy.
Do you even know how this works? Moore went from 20 points ahead to 20 points behind in about two days. (Thank you media liars.) By the time it was in Moore's interest to debate Jones, it was no longer in Jone's interest to debate Moore.

Of course he will, and you can count on the Never Trumpers to help him get there.
Some folks here believe he wouldn't be the best choice to run for this seat. He may not be, but last I knew, anyone with the qualifications to run for office, had the right to do so without being bullied or intimidated to quit.

WRONG !
JUDGE Roy Moore WON if you are watching the vote totals come in.
How does the write-in vote totals go FROM slightly over 24,000 ... DOWN TO 16,000 in fifteen minutes, ... and then DOWN AGAIN to 14,000 ?
What happens when you STEAL more than 10,000 write-om votes FROM JUDGE Roy Moore and give them to Doug Jones ?
You get a difference of over 20,000 votes !
STEALING ELECTIONS WITH COMPUTERS and
Technology Cybercrimes, watch Bloomberg's
Digital Defense November 3, 2016 (19:40).
To better understand
"THE MASTER KEY" to stealing elections with computers, watch:
I'LL
NEVER TRUST ANOTHER COMPUTER COUNTED ELECTION AGAIN !
Things have changed!
Bennie Smith, a Memphis computer programmer, discovered HOW this is done through a
" ... a GEMS tabulatorfor Global Election Management Systemwhich is a personal computer installed with Diebold software that sits in a windowless room in the countys election headquarters.
The tabulator is the brains of the system.
It monitors the voting machines, sorts out which machines have delivered data and which havent, and tallies the results.
As voting machines check in and their votes are included in the official count, each machines status turns green on the GEMS master panel.
A red light means the upload has failed.
At the end of Memphiss election night in October 2015, there was no indication from the technician running Shelby Countys GEMS tabulator that any voting machine hadnt checked in or that any votes had gone missing, according to election commission e-mails obtained by Bloomberg Businessweek.
Yet as county technicians followed up on the evidence from Smiths poll-tape photo, they discovered more votes that never made it into the election night count, all from precincts with large concentrations of black voters. ... "
Diebold Election Systems changed its name in 2006 to
Premier Election Solutions.
Bloomberg's article titled
How to Protect Against Election Day Hacking gives more proof of this by Memphis computer programmer Bennie Smith.
"... The method Smith used to catch the problem should be a playbook for any candidate, party or concerned citizen worried about the accurate tallying of their votes:Smith snapped some pictures of printed voting tallies (known as poll tapes) at a high-turnout polling location and then compared the results there to the electronic tabulations.
This is a very good, if labor-intensive, way to check to ensure that votes are being counted correctly.
Smith has created a proof-of-concept program called Fraction Magic, showing how corrupt officials could tamper with GEMS to manipulate election outcomes.

Only God can determine if someone is too old. If you're not 80 yet, you will be some day...then see how you like it when someone says you're too old to do something.
