Trump is wobbly on immigration, thinking his wall gets him off the hook and free license to cut a deal. No! End of day this is amnesty, needs to get security in place, all of it. The wall, eVerify, end chain migration, end birthright citizenship, etc.

You should watch the meeting going on right now. Right now he is steadfast on building the wall. He is not giving an inch as he is laying it out to the Dims.

This is awful. Trump is giving away DACA for a promise to maybe look at the idea of thinking about possibly somewhat increasing border security at a later date. Utter foolishness and 180 degrees off what many voters consider their most important issue.

My worry is that some RAT judge shuts down the wall before it’s built because of so-called “environmental” concern.
Then we have amnesty for the idiot dreamers and no wall.
Build the wall FIRST before we even begin talking about the “dreamers.”
I did, what do you suggest I missed? He says wall for illegal alien kids. Says rest can come later. That is selling out. First, the kids get amnesty. Second, without the rest, their families stay as well. Dems get a lot for the wall, we get a wall, symbolic, but still miss the rest: chain migration, eVerify, birthright citizenship, sanctuary cities and states, etc. The winners are Trump and members of congress that keep this alive as hot topic to generate campaign interest and promote fundraising. Losers are us, the American people.
If I thought they would actually let maybe 10-20 k based on merit.
At a minimum:
No criminal record
Speak fluent English
graduated from High School or better.
Have a provable work history
military service a plus.
But dims and RINOs have a history of not honoring what they say.
It is said that politics is the art of the possible.
Trump perceives his proposition as possible. He knows that what you suggest is not
So far, nothing has happened.
How many times did Repubs trade tax increases for future spending cuts that never happened? In any 2-part deal we need to make sure we get our half first.
Donald is always the wheeler-dealer.
I still think this is a trap for the Democrats, even put like this. The Democrats don’t want a generous line drawn, they want NO line drawn.
That was the best 45 minutes of television I’ve seen in 10 years.
It would be possible if he started deporting every single one of their azzes. The Dems would run to him for a deal. Then he should do what the Dems do....make the deal and then slow walk it so it never happens. Play by their rules for awhile.

It is already almost too late … By the time Florida, NC, and Georgia flip blue, game's over. And with the unexpected influx of Puerto Rican "Americans" into Florida things look even worse. Schumer and the the democrats are playing a game called "run out the clock".
