I don’t think much will happen. Prosecutors are appointed locally and their sentiment will reflect the will of the people. Those who do not will have a short-lived career.

Agree. The US attorney for CO has already said he wouldn’t change their enforcement policies.

They are appointed by Sessions.

They are appointed by the AG. The criteria is that they be licensed in the state they will practice in. They are not free to make up the law based on public sentiment in their state as you suggest.
