Small l libertarian. More like a limited government conservative. Separation of powers conservative. Federalism conservative. Make government smaller and less intrusive so there is less for the politicians to screw up, because they do that on a regular basis libertarian/conservative. Happy Sunday.

“I don’t think much will happen. Prosecutors are appointed locally and their sentiment will reflect the will of the people. Those who do not will have a short-lived career.”

Agree. The US attorney for CO has already said he wouldn’t change their enforcement policies.

“Stone is correct, another huge mistake by Sessions. Sessions is hurting this president.”

This is true. And then there is the recusal which REALLY was a cataclysmic mistake and the root of all our current travails. Adios Jeff.

Stupid is as stupid does.

However, the potheads I've observed here in Coloradistan, though lazy and mostly useless, are relatively benign compared to the predators involved circa 1933 -- when the collectivists in Ukraine starved 6-10 million folks to death while exporting grain in exchange for Western hardware required to "protect socialism".

How's that sponsorship of the National Felons League strategy workin' out these days?

The Federal Government does not have the authority to make unconstitutional laws. So again, please show me where in the Constitution the congress is given the authority to ban a plant? Or should I refer you to the 10th Amendment?

So Congress is delegated the power to pass anti-Second Amendment laws?

Your answer must be “yes” since you apparently think it has the power to pass anti-Tenth Amendment laws.

Umtil a potheads drives straight at you and your family.

I’m a little dismayed by your apparent obsession with cannabis. (I currently don’t use this substance)

If someone hurt someone in your family while high on that particular drug I understand but don’t necessarily agree.
Back in the 60s and early 70s (when I was in college) Pot smoking was riding a wave of popularity. I dare say i can’t imagine more stoned pot heads today on the roads than at that time.

Yes people crash cars and kill people today as yesterday on drugs. Alcohol probably more than any other. It should be a crime to drive while intoxicated (and is) no matter what the substance you’re taking.

I don’t necessarily think pot should be legalized yet for recreational purposes. There should be studies done (rehashed actually. It’s been done before) to determine if cannabis is the proper way to go to help relieve pain and eye pressure problems.

Currently I can take various types of prescription opioids and after reading the label I am only cautioned to see if I feel “ ok “ to drive. If I buy marijuana via state prescription I lose my constitutional right to keep and bear arms yet not with prescription opioids.

This whole thing needs to be thought through a heck of a lot better.

President Trump and his AG people need to start writing memos. Voter ID: States rights! Housing laws, ADA compliance requirements: States rights! Protected classes: States rights! Minority exceptions: States rights! Civil rights complaints: States rights! etc...etc...
The AG and FBI are overworked and underpaid...give them a break...they have bigger fish to fry!

I agree with Sessions in one major respect. The law is the law. It doesn’t change just because some people want it to change. Congress needs to change it. But this Congress is chicken. I would suggest that instead of abolishing the pot laws they should pass a law allowing each state the opportunity to opt out of the Federal pot laws. I think they should be able to get the votes to do that.
