My math (or hearing) must be off.I thought I heard “$2,500 a year savings”.
They won’t care other people will pay for it.
My health insurance premiums went up 400% this year in Colorado. 0bamacare sucks and so do those who imposed this on us.
Congress doesn’t care about US citizens and their plight. Their priority is a bunch of illegal aliens and pleasing them.
400% Wow. Mine only went up 35%, of course that made the cheapest plan $3000 a month for $11k deductible.
Oh, you heard right. Only, the message was totally bogus.
But with repeal of the individual mandate, which included the payment of an escalating scale of fines to the IRS in lieu of providing proof of medical coverage, it becomes an easy choice to drop medical insurance coverage altogether and just pay out of pocket as you go, but only for the most pressing of medical problems. The extraordinarily high deductibles in these plans meant that essentially, there was no coverage whatsoever until the spend-down had reached catastrophic levels, and there was no provision for a health savings account to substitute for or mitigate the spend-down out of current income.
Good. Virginia seems to have flipped blue for good. Give it to them good and hard
Yes, I had to change from the silver plan to the gold plan to keep the deductible at $9,000.
Virginia has not flipped for good. Gillespie was a terrible RINO candidate.

That is a pull a number out of the sky figure.
The ONLY ones saving anything are those that aren’t paying for it.
I figure if things would have ‘stayed the course’, in a couple of years the ‘havenots’ would be demanding the 2500 in cash to themselves.
And under the plan, somewhere in the 3,000,000 (give or take a page or two) pages is probably a clause legalizing it.
I doubt ANYONE alive today will read the ENTIRE BILL in their lifetime.

Pleasing their big money donors and lobbyists who want to keep that cheap labor.
3000 dollar tax for me last year, thanks to Bammy
Repealing 0care was supposed to happen several months ago.
Keeping this monstrosity is what’s going to kill the middle class. it was designed that way, incidentally.
So they’re meeting at Camp David to plan an agenda, eh? REPEAL the ACA. That’s it.
Election day is approaching people. Get with it!
Who cares? They vote for Democrats every time they get the chance. They fought for Obamacare, so they must love paying a fortune for it.
First toll roads are making a come back, and now this, sad to say I will leave Virginia the state I was born in and go down south, TN and TX is looking better.
My recollection is:
that the subsidies were authorized but they required specific funding by Congress,
and Congress ended the funding;
then Obama tried to work around that, possibly illegally,
but Trump refused to do that and reminded Congress they had to act if they wanted to fund the subsidies,
and Congress did not and is not funding them.
What can be a relationship between the subsidies and recent big premium increases? MANDATES.
The kinds of plans that must be offered on the ACA exchanges and the MANDATES in the plans INSURES that the insurers are taking on greater risks. How much greater risk was masked by the subsidies.
Congress next ACA act must be to dispense with the MANDATES, making it possible for insurers to offer a very wide range of plans that can meet the financial limits folks can afford to devote to “health insurance”. My only hope with that reform is that it also mandate that health savings accounts (HSA)must be one of the options that must be offered with any plan. The more things folks can pay from HSAs the more they will start to affect cost reductions by providers.
Congress never approved cost sharing subsidies to bail out insurance companies under section 1402. The 1401 subsidies were but they pertained to tax credit subsidies for enrollees. 1402 subsidies never ended because the never started. For Obama to simply confiscate tax payer money without a congressional spending approval was one of many examples of the utter lawlessness of his presidency. Here again, a federal court intervened and declared the executive ordered 1402 subsidies illegal. To this day Obamacare has yet to be fully implemented. Had it from day one, without the many delays, waivers and illegal subsidies it would have completely collapsed under it’s own weight much earlier.
