Several stories broke yesterday:
♦Senator Ron Johnson gains copies of the manipulated/edited FBI small group talking points that exonerated Hillary Clinton despite overwhelming evidence. Johnson is a Senate Judiciary Committee member and remains focused on those specifics.
♦Senator Chuck Grassley has identified that former FBI Director James Comey leaked classified FBI information to the media to gain political leverage. Additional questions are now raised by the Senate Judiciary Chairman.
♦The FBI has begun a new review of the Clinton Foundation pay-to-play network during Hillary Clintons tenure at the State Dept. Investigators are questioning the people within the Clinton foundation about actions taken as a result of donations to the foundation.
♦A federal judge has ruled that Fusion GPS must turn over its bank records to the House Intelligence Committee. Including records of financial payments to journalists and media outlets to push the Christopher Steele Dossier story.
♦House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes will be receiving all remaining DOJ documents, without redaction, that pertain to the 2016 DOJ/FBI FISA court application. In addition eight key members of the FBI small group will be questioned by the committee.
♦The Dept. of Justice it reopening the investigation into Hillary Clintons email use; and how both Clinton and her aide Huma Abedin used, shared and stored classified documents on their personal servers and devices.
♦Paul Manafort sues Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his probe due to a claim of overreach and operating outside the scope of his legal authority from congress.
Additionally, the DOJ Office of Inspector General, Michael Horowitz, is anticipated to deliver 1.2 million documents, from a year-long investigation into the FBI/DOJ, to House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte on January 15th.
It is easy to get stuck in the weeds on any individual storyline within the larger network of ongoing investigations.

“Based on what I have read it is McCabe that has the most to worry about with a SC investigation.”
Trump basically wrote “McCabe retiring in days? LOL!”
“OTOH, it might be some kind of hit job by Levin. He’s quoted as saying that Sundance is a grocery store clerk.”
Sundance blows me away daily by his insight! Shame on Levin.
“And thats where you get the Congress-critter (cant remember his name) saying if you go against the intelligence community (misnomer if ever there was one), they have ways of getting back at you 6 days from Sunday. He admitted straight-out that they use their so-called national security powers to retaliate against those who stand in their way.”
Wasn’t that Chuck Schumer?
Yes. Thanks for the name. I could see him in my mind’s eye but the name eluded me at the moment.
Clapper and Brennan.. their very existence makes me ill.
I heard Clapper really enjoys The Gorilla Channel on Netflix...
The only problem I have with this is the only groups I know who have used this technique in the past are liberals...
I’m betting on ‘traitors’...
Maybe the Poynter Institute for Media Studies will share a judgement on the practice of 'journalists' accepting money from Opposition Research Groups...
Out here in flyover we'd like to know...Is it unethical for journalists to take money to help a Democrat? Or only unethical if it helps a Republican?

Depending on how you look at it, the Gorilla Channel Incident is either a sign of the imminent collapse of critical thought and public discourse or the first great meme of 2018.
For those just catching up: On Thursday evening, the cartoonist Ben Ward posted on Twitter what appeared to be a screenshot of an excerpt from Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, a new book by Michael Wolff.
Even among the various controversial excerpts circulating, which include descriptions of President Trump asking who John A. Boehner, the former House speaker, was, and promising his wife, Melania, that he wouldnt win the election, this one stood out. It recounted the president supposedly complaining on his first night in the White House that his bedroom television was broken because it didnt have the gorilla channel, which screened only videos about gorillas.
Wow, this extract from Wolffs book is a shocking insight into Trumps mind: pic.twitter.com/1ZecclggSa
the gorilla channel thing is a joke (@pixelatedboat) Jan. 5, 2018
According to the excerpt, aides hurried to cobble together primate documentaries to create a makeshift gorilla channel. When Mr. Trump bemoaned the lack of gorilla-on-gorilla fighting, they edited the documentaries to include only footage of the animals hitting one another. The president, the passage said, could watch for up to 17 hours a day.
Wow, this extract from Wolffs book is a shocking insight into Trumps mind, Mr. Ward wrote in his tweet.

The post exploded. As of Saturday morning, it had been shared more than 24,000 times and liked more than 80,000 times. More than a few prominent Twitter personalities reposted it and appeared to believe it was real.
To be clear: It wasnt. Mr. Ward, who also spawned the Milkshake Duck meme, changed his Twitter display name to the gorilla channel thing is a joke, and Snopes, the fact-checking website, debunked the post.
.
Snopes = Soros.
The IRS doesn’t seem to have a problem going through a hundred million documents every year.
