Steve Bannon responded to President Donald Trump's blistering assault by calling the president "a great man" and saying, "I support him day in and day out."
Bannon, former White House chief strategist, made the comments on SiriusXM's "Breitbart News Tonight" show hours after the Trump administration unleashed a multi-tiered blitzkrieg of rebukes and condemnation against him for his explosive remarks in Michael Wolff's new book, "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House."
But Bannon remained nonplussed and steadfast in his support of the president.
"The President of the United States is a great man," Bannon said on Breitbart News Tonight."
"You know I support him day in and day out, whether going through the country giving the Trump Miracle Speech or on the show or on the website," Bannon said, responding to a caller.
Bannon again early Thursday reiterated his continued support of the president.
"Nothing will ever come between us and President Trump and his agenda," Bannon said on Breitbart Radio, CNN reported. "We're tight on this agenda as we've ever been."

I think some people believe it is Bannon’s book. It’s Michael Wolff’s book - he’s a writer for The Guardian. Mark Simone made this big mistake on his show yesterday.

I’m still trying to withhold judgement on this and see how it plays out, but as one with some (long ago) ‘expertise’, the latter section of your post may well explain part/all of this.

Happy New Year, Miss M. I know it’s a cliche, but I feel like I’ve been taking crazy pills. So many people believe this was all orchestrated between Trump and Bannon, yet clearly it wasn’t. Anything you say contrary to that theory, the comeback is, ‘That’s just a smokescreen.’ It’s mind-boggling.
I hope Bannon gets the help he needs. His behavior is erratic at best. Time to let the pros have a crack at it, or things will only get worse.
Sorry folks, this whole thing just seems like a sideshow to me.

I graduated High School in 1989, and thought I left his sort of nonsensical drama behind back then..... Its amazing what passes for “news” in the age of social media.
Well, I understand withholding judgment if you like Bannon, I really do. I’ve never really gotten him myself. We’ll see.

Thanks for the link. Boy, Gorka is sharp! His handling of this interview should be studied by everyone on our side. He subtly sidesteps the questions in order to present the narrative he wants. Too bad he’s not still in the White House.

I haven’t heard a denial out of Bannon, have you? Moore at least denied it.
I saw a guy on FOX last night saying that Bannon is a huge threat to Trump, because Bannon is the “rock star” who can take a huge chunk of Trump’s base away from him. To tell you the truth, I’ve never personally encountered a Trump supporter that makes his support for Trump contingent on Bannon. Most Trump supporters I’ve encountered don’t care one way or the other about Bannon.
