Steve Bannon responded to President Donald Trump's blistering assault by calling the president "a great man" and saying, "I support him day in and day out."
Bannon, former White House chief strategist, made the comments on SiriusXM's "Breitbart News Tonight" show hours after the Trump administration unleashed a multi-tiered blitzkrieg of rebukes and condemnation against him for his explosive remarks in Michael Wolff's new book, "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House."
But Bannon remained nonplussed and steadfast in his support of the president.
"The President of the United States is a great man," Bannon said on Breitbart News Tonight."
"You know I support him day in and day out, whether going through the country giving the Trump Miracle Speech or on the show or on the website," Bannon said, responding to a caller.
Bannon again early Thursday reiterated his continued support of the president.
"Nothing will ever come between us and President Trump and his agenda," Bannon said on Breitbart Radio, CNN reported. "We're tight on this agenda as we've ever been."

He is a smart guy who up to this incident did a lot of good. He should apologize and, based upon his appearance, check into Betty Ford for a few months.

except for taking it upon himself as a staffer to drive an agenda and personally attacking his son, daughter and son in law and sitting repeatedly with liberal reporters to leak information who have as their agenda to damage Trump. And it’s not even information. It’s his opinion. Trump’s son was treasonous?
It is amazing to me that all the hate Bannon crowd were on this SUPPOSED quote like they were on the yearbook allegations against Moore which have now been accepted as a forgery.
Really, consider the source and what they are also saying about the rest of the content.
I was thinking cheese in the maze when I first saw this and am growing more and more convinced of it as time goes on. I listened to the morning show and this issue was not touched on any more than the statements already made from Bannon directly from him. Seems this is more about smoking out the author and also those who jumped on this like the yearbook.
Well, whatever else you might say about Bannon, you have to admit: the guy looks SHARP.
I still think he looks a bit like Sam Kinison.
Two comments and then I will repost a link to Sebastian Gorka’s comments on this flap. 1) Unfortunately, Bannon said things to a snake reporter that he should have kept to himself. He should have known better. 2) Ideologically, he and Trump have the same objective.

You either said it to that author or you did not, Bannon.
Either you deny it or you reap the benefits of it, Bannon.
If you did NOT say any of those things, then file suit for false publishing and put an end to it.

How does anyone know that the quotes from the POS author and book are accurate? Isn’t the book an effort to hurt Trump?

Right now he’s showing an uncanny knack for stepping in it, and he needs to start explaining himself.

Excerpts from the book - including the quotes - have been showing up on breitbart.com. And since Bannon is the executive chairman of Breitbart, I gotta think that the quotes are correct.

The things the screaming headlines say Bannon said are not what he said. The actual quote in context is completely different and quite mild. Most people don’t seem to have a clue what Bannon actually said.
His appearance suggests mental illness, unfortunately.
I don’t know. Ideologically, I think Bannon’s only objective is the promotion of Bannon.
