A woman who requested a female nurse for an intimate procedure was given an “obviously male” member of staff with stubble and tattoos, who claimed to be a transsexual.
The National Health Service (NHS) patient said she was “embarrassed and distressed” when summoned by a nurse with “an obviously male appearance … close-cropped hair, a male facial appearance and voice, large number of tattoos and facial stubble” to carry out a cervical smear, The Times reports.
When she pointed out what she thought was a mistake, the nurse told her off: “My gender is not male. I’m a transsexual.”
Speaking after the examination, which she ultimately decided to abandon, the patient said it was “weird where somebody says to you: ‘My gender is not male’ and you think: ‘Well, what does that even mean? You are clearly a man.’ ”

Women have been the big drivers in the push for LBGT rights in the West, as they have been for most liberal social changes. Dollars to donuts, this woman who asked for a female nurse probably considers herself a supporter of transgender rights. I fail to see the issue.

Yes, I’ve occasionally wondered about these “women’s” health plans...are they required by the insurance companies to have annual female exams? Mammograms? What does a shemale’s general practitioner say when the shemale asks to be referred to an OB/GYN? Exactly how far do doctors, particularly OB/GYNs, and insurance companies take the charade?

There was one of these obviously male transgenders hired at our local community hobby shop where I used to by balsa plane kits for my son.
I couldn’t take the wig, the make up, the painted man hands and stopped going.
Did go back after a year and “it” was gone.
