At this point I wish Trump had left Sessions where he was. I know it was a safe choice at the time but now we are left with a Dem representing our state. None of it foreseeable except the dems always play dirty. I hope we are ready for that next year.

Gowdy is doing nothing but keeping his re-election campaign warm.

>> “CA Republicans are pi$$ed.” <<

Total nonsense!

CA Republicans are mostly small business owners, and file most of their income as a corporation.

The National Inquirer actually is better - they actually got Edwards to step down. WaPo would just spike the story until it was politically expedient.

In Gowdy’s defense, he is a former prosecutor who is well aware of the serious threats a legislative body can have on a law enforcement agency like the FBI. He’s warning Nunes to tread carefully here to avoid undermining legitimate DOJ investigations.

A very good point, if it didn't appear to everyone that the DOJ is hopelessly corrupt, at least at the top. Therefore, the "integrity" of their "investigations" isn't necessarily a priority. Finding out who is trustworthy, and who is not, is the priority. And that task is currently the DOJ/IC oversight committees in Congress. At least until a legitimately independent (read NOT former FBI director) special counsel can be appointed, which they have already called for.

Reluctantly agree. Jim Jones is just going to deliver for his leftist voting bloc.

(I know that’s not his actual name, but that’s how he’s going to act.)

When is comes to Nunes I disagree.

I live in his district, everyone that I've talked to regarding Nunes are very proud of him and think he is a champion. He stays in contact with his constituents, I get emails from him all the time. He will easily win re-election.

He’s warning Nunes to tread carefully here to avoid undermining legitimate DOJ investigations.

The IG Horowitz investigation is legitimate and the Nunes House Intel Committee investigation isn't?

That doesn't make any sense.

“CA Republicans are mostly small business owners”

There are over 5 million registered Republicans in CA and another 5 million “independents”, some percentage of which always vote Republican.

I contend that a MINORITY of CA Republicans are small business owners. And a majority are wage earners.

Gee I wonder what Gowdy’s net worth has changed since entering Congress? Wonder if that has any impact on his “all hat, no cattle” behavior?

Follow the $$$ wherever it goes.
If it leads to Romney, Rove, McCain or Linda...that is just too bad.
Frankly I suspect all four are involved, during a meeting they had with Axelrod in Jackson Hole, WY back in 2015.

Let Mueller continue the Russian probe. He has found nothing, but his investigation is opening up the democrats to full exposure. The way I see it is the ‘swamp’ is all intertwined, and Trump was never part of the swamp. The more they investigate, the more they expose Washington insiders.
