Breitbart executive chairman Steve Bannon has cut ties with Paul Nehlen, the far-right activist who is challenging Paul Ryan for his congressional seat and who has received extremely favorable coverage from Breitbart in the past.
"Nehlen is dead to us," said Arthur Schwartz, an adviser of Bannon's who is familiar with the former White House chief strategist's thinking.
Nehlen, who became a lightning rod for his anti-immigrant views, has escalated his rhetoric in recent days with a number of incendiary tweets.
In one tweet, Nehlen proudly revealed that he is reading "The Culture of Critique," a book about Jewish culture widely considered to be anti-semitic. In other tweets, he has used the "#ItsOkayToBeWhite" hashtag.
The inflammatory online activity has drawn fierce scrutiny from Nehlen's critics, and beckoned the question whether Breitbart, which previously published highly supportive coverage of his candidacy, still supported him.
When Nehlen challenged Ryan during the 2016 Republican primary, Breitbart dispatched Mathew Boyle, one of its top writers, to Wisconsin. Throughout the race, Boyle taunted Ryan on the campaign trail with outlandishly negative stories while simultaneously writing positive articles about Nehlen. Ryan ultimately walloped Nehlen by a margin of 84% to 16%.

But Breitbart and Bannon, a former White House chief strategist, have recently moved to distance themselves from him.
Nehlen, who previously published material on Breitbart, has seen his author page scrubbed entirely from the far-right website. Moreover, Joel Pollak, a senior editor at Breitbart, publicly denounced Nehlen on Twitter.
"We don't support him," Pollak tweeted late Tuesday night, adding that Nehlen had "disqualified" himself. As of Wednesday afternoon, Breitbart had not denounced Nehlen on its website. A Google search returned no articles this week about Nehlen's latest tweets or statements.

If Paul Ryan indeed quits, he will name his heir apparent and the good Repiblicans of CD 1 will vote for that person overwhelmingly. It will not be Nehlen.
“Its not okay to be white?”
Many self hating whites think it’s not. See below how widely this insanity is being perpetrated in colleges and soon outside those asylums.

If CNN says so, I guess it’s true. Bannon couldn’t be doing damage repair over his Moore support could he? And that’s even IF Bannon has said this.
Just not poor and white.
I know, and it looks like that is unknown to the sages here. At least we know Nehlen would not vote for impeachment.
Naturally, Ryan is very popular in his district.
His constituents lean heavily to the left, and are unapologetic Globalists, which is why Ryan is unbeatable.
Nice to post an article from the CNN hate site. What crumb of truth has ever come out of CNN. They should be banned from posting.
Some of the wisest words ever printed here. You could add the Murtha and McCain elections as well.
Please explain why the hashtag #ItsOkayToBeWhite is so bad.
Apparently some round here hate the Jews as much as nutball Nehlan
If you have any information about the political leanings of his constituents beyond the demographic and party affiliation data you can find on Wikipedia, please post it here. I'd love to read through it.
When Paul Ryan smoked Nehlan in the GOP primary, everyone here on FR who is not a fan of Ryan should have gotten a reality check and realized that many of these establishment Republicans arent nearly as unpopular with their constituents as youd believe if you only read FreeRepublic posts all day.””
Exactly, there are many posters here that hate all republicans no matter how they vote. Who are these people? Are they demrats, commies, liberfarians, socialist or what?
This one considering it has quotes from Bannon’s adviser and Joel Pollack of Breitbart. His writings have also been scrubbed from Breitbart.
People like Ryan will never get my vote in a general election.
Watching the UKIP movement in the UK I noticed that racists and zealots showed up at UKIP meetings, joined UKIP then disrupted UKIP with racism, sexual harassment allegations etc. to discredit UKIP.
The Uniparty sent spies, agents, plants call them what you will into UKIP to destroy it from within and weaken it.
Agents from the Conservative and Labor parties in the UK did the dirty work.
I see that repeating itself among anti-establishment forces inside the GOP.
A Freeper actually got on the thread and claimed that he lives in the district and has been voting for Democrats in the House races in recent years -- because the GOP guy isn't "conservative enough." What the hell are people thinking?
This site has a lot of people who seem to think these Republican districts are just waiting for some farmer or Duck Dynasty character to climb off a tractor or out of a pickup truck ... and successfully challenge these Republicans in a primary ... and then actually win a general election ... by mounting a Rust Belt "Make America Great Again" campaign in a district where no more than 2% of the voters had family members working in manufacturing jobs in the last 50 years.
Is it wrong if we would like to see CNN gassed?
Spreading disinformation.
This kind of disinformation?
